Does cover greys, no copper-red look, color too dark at first BUT there's a fix for that
I have been using this for years, used to use the "tortoise" color but decided the dark brown (closer to my original color and despite my age) worked best for me.BIGGEST PRO: It doesn't cause that "red" look that so many other browns do when they hit the greys in hair. My hair is naturally dark brown but I've got grey hairs that shine thru, not tons, but then my hair's real thick and it must be the amount of dark brown still there that makes the grey seem less, but it shines out unless I color my hair so I do.Second Plus: It does have highlights, which avoids the dyed hair helmet look. Although the tortoise color seemed to have more; this could have more but still it has enoughNEGATIVE-- TOO DARK AT FIRST -- BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT til color fades, THERE's a FIX FOR THAT: As others have commented, for about two weeks if you follow the directions L'Oreal gives, your color will be darker than you want, darker than the box. But that can be ameliorated to a fair extent by washing your hair with any heavy-duty dandruff shampoo immediately after coloring. I use T-Gel, which I buy only for this purpose as I am thankfully dandruff free. The color will still be a tad darker than it should be for a few days but not as dark as it would be without the immediate dandruff shampooing and this does not seem to make the color fade faster. I've been using Feria for over 10 years now and it does fade faster than other colors (but it's better too) and the fade time with the dandruff shampooing does not seem to decrease how long the color lasts. If the days of too-dark still bother you, you could shampoo with T-Gel (or whatever dandruff shampoo you choose) the next day (I've done that -- and it works) and you could do that again. I've done that sometimes when I had an event coming up right after coloring, but not enough times to let you know whether that repeated dandruff shampooing will increase how fast this fades. Also, if your hair is dry like mine and you have no need for a dandruff shampoo other than to fix color, repeated use of a high-powered dandruff shampoo might affect the texture/feel of you hair.

good color and shine.
I purchased ★ 40 deeply brown ★ and my hair was, at one time naturally medium brown. I am now 43 and my hair has a ton of grey in it. I would probably venture to say I am 50% gray, but who knows because I always color the roots. This time I did my whole head. Last summer I tried to highlight my hair and my hair is dark enough that it is pretty lift resistant and I gave up that venture. Well, here it is a new summer and my hair still has those light "highlights" that I wish I could color over and they would go away for good. Most hair colors deepen them a little, but in the end the hair color fades and they show through again. This is not the most faceted Feria color I have experienced. I have used Feria before in different shades and usually it has had more dimension. This one does not have an incredible amount of dimension. The color is nice. It is not as dark as I thought it would be. I was kind of hoping for a hair darker, but it will do. It covered my grey roots. It blended the highlights back in and my hair was left soft. I used the enclosed conditioner and then finished with Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil and Living Proof PhD.For the price this is an adequate hair color and a nice change. The color is natural and even considering I used just one box on my, past my waist hair". I would purchase again in the future.

Achieve Stunning Espresso Shades with Multi-Faceted Shimmer
I recently tried L'Oreal Paris Feria Hair Color in the shade 40 Espresso, and I'm impressed with the results. The color turned out beautifully rich and multidimensional, exactly as described. The application process was straightforward, and the included conditioner left my hair feeling soft and nourished. While the color didn't last as long as I hoped, it still provided a noticeable shimmering effect that added depth to my hair. Overall, a solid choice for anyone looking to switch up their look with a gorgeous espresso hue.

Thank you Féria !!
My balayage grow out was rough. Hated it. Had a semi-permanent gloss put on for $150 months ago and that lasted 5 minutes. Finally just decided to cover it myself, rather than spend another $150 at the salon. So thankful I just went for it!! Looks a billion times better, as seen in the pics. I got the espresso brown. My natural hair (roots) are very dark brown, no gray. Easy to apply and got my hair back to one color, permanently, for $10.

Disappointed with results
I always use Loreal products, but saw the white shortly after using this product. Guess I have to go with the more expensive versions
