No Thanks
I not only don't like it, neither does anyone else-which would have still been okay, it will hold butter, but I ordered this because according to the glycemic index (I won't go into what a joke I think that is) barley bread should not have spiked my BG levels like wheat breads, but it most certainly did for DAYS 270s+, so I see no reason to buy this very expensive item, [these loaves are about 41/2" square, at the most and very thin, maybe 1/4 inch]. I won't be buying or recommending this again.

Very good, but Overpriced
Very good taste and quality, but it is very overpriced from this seller. According to the bakery liable on the bread box, the retail price per item is $3.19, so it is $19 per pack of 6. Instead of $19, we are charged $29. Even though we buy wholesale quantity and should get a discount for that. But the bread itself is very tasty. I wish this bakery would bake traditional rye Darnitskiy as well.

Delicious rubeschlagger pumpernickel bread
Oh how this bread brought back memories from my childhood. My mom bought this often and I just loved it. It's hard to find in the grocery stores. All I can get is the cocktail size and it's just not the same.

the pumpernickel tastes everything but German Westphalian pumpernickel! Very disappointing. Nobody wants to eat it. Whole family is from Westphalia/Germany

Great Bread!
Much better than my homemade! I am from Denmark and always ate pumpernickel and this is the best!

Packaging forces you to buy a plastic bag to put ...
Packaging forces you to buy a plastic bag to put the remainder in. Taste is, well, awful. Hopefully it will be ok if I toast it and add butter or jam.
