IDK what the "Tacky" reviews are about.
I read a lot of reviews before I purchased a cover for my Fire HD 8. I thought the Famavala Shell (Bluesky) Case Cover looked the coolest and fit my personality the most out of the covers I browsed through. I saw a reoccurring theme of the case feeling "Tacky." I received the case today (on delivery date) and it feels completely perfect. Its NOT sticky... which is how I interpreted "Tacky." There is no weird feeling while or residual when you touch it. IMO it has the appropriate texture, so that it does not slip out of your hands. I have had IPhone covers that were super sleek and were practically impossible to hold with one hand while trying to operate. This is not like that. I think the people who made these comments just have sweaty hands tbh and im not sure what cover is intended to compensate for that.

Drilling to fix a massive design flaw.
I really wanted to like this case. I was looking specifically for a Tri-Fold case because of how I hold my tablet in cases. I recieved it this afternoon and tonight I realized something. The drilled the hole for the back camera in the wrong spot! Because of where it is, when you use the standing side the tablet is UPSIDE DOWN!WTF?I'll have to drill a new camera hole into my case so that my tablet will be orientated correctly. I cannot barely here anything coming out of the speakers because they are on the bottom, when in reality they should be on top. The camera is on the bottom as well. Incredibly disappointed in this case.

Nice try, but a definite failure
It's really sad. This could have been the perfect case for the 10th gen Fire 8 tablet. It securely attached to my tablet, it feels solid, nice materials, and it doesn't have the problem with the latch magnets falling out like some of the other cases. So, what's wrong? It all boils down to, they got the tablet cover 180 degrees wrong. If you look at my photos: 1. The hinge has holes in it to allow for the speakers, but weakens it to the point that it wears out and rips easily (other side, they could have had a hinge without holes). 2. The front camera is on the bottom when the case is in standing mode (at the top is better for video chat). 3. The back camera is right by the hinge, making it almost impossible to use the camera without removing the case (if hinge was on the other side, you could use the camera by folding back one panel of the cover). In summary, wait for the next version of this cover or go find one that has the hinge on the other side of the tablet. This one is a dud.

WIN WIN WHEN YOU BUY THIS COVER!
It is beautiful to look at. It's material feels very comforting to me...to hold while reading, or rest a hand on it when I'm not using my Kindle Fire HD8, 10th Generation... Best Kindle Fire Cover, I've bought (ALL 6 Kindle covers I bought since 2010, like my first E- reader that was black and white, 2011 was the first release of my 1st Kindle Fire Tablet, that was as good as an Ipad for ME, plus affordable and versatile and still is..I researched this company's Fire Covers and this IS the BEST COVER I'VE EVER BOUGHT AND ITS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE!!!! When I buy some Kindle Fire Tablets as Christmas Gifts, I'm definitely ordering THIS COVER FOR FIRE TABLET to make this wonderful device that is......computer, TV, radio, video game player, camera, artist canvas, file cabinets scanners, photocopier, letter writer as a free party office mail... I was born in the 60's and feel we're at The Jetson's (Hanna Barbera cartoon) level, almost!!!WIN, WIN!

Fits perfectly
Works great w Fire HD+. Perfect fit...yes, slightly tacky feel which probably improves grip. Nice design which after years of plain cases is a nice twist.Seems well made and protective. Lemme go drop the tablet on a concrete floor + get back to you...

This makes me happy
I like the color and design. As I said before. When I see it around the house, in this strange lonely time, it brightens my mood

Seems fragile, but time will tell
The part that covers/protects the screen folds back behind the tablet, but it isn't rigid enough to stay in place. It shifts up and down which is annoying and makes it hard to balance against your knee or any other stable surface. The front also folds into a triangle to form a base to hold the tablet at an angle. The triangle will drop flat at random times, which is also annoying. The fabric seems fragile, like it will tear after repeated use... kind of like tearing a piece of heavy paper by bending it back and forth until you create a crease that is weak. I don't know if that will happen, but it feels like it might. Time will tell. As far as looks, it is quite lovely. As far as sturdiness, I have dropped my tablet a few times (probably about 3-4 feet ) and the cover protected it from damage.

works ok, terrible design for vc camera placement
it works well enough, I suppose but if you're planning to use this for video chatting, this place is the camera at the very bottom. not a very well thought out design.the part that folds up is rather stiff, compared to other leather cases I've had, but it works okay I guess. I feel like this could have been a lot better, for the money
