does it work with Olympus pen EPL1?

Hello Xiao Zhao, If I am not mistaken the E-PL1, is the first Olympus Micro Four Thirds camera. If your camera has a Micro Four Thirds mount, then it should fit. I have a E-PM1 and the Olympus M. 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 R Zoom Lens is suited for it. My suggestion is to firstly confirm if your camera has the 4/3 Thirds mount before buying the lens. I'm happy with this product. It does the job, and it is not very expensive. It takes great pictures and it is value for money. I am almost certain that it will work with your camera. Will this fit the olympus pen pl1?

This lens is for micro 4/3 cameras. E-PL1 is Olympus' first micro 4/3 camera, therefore, this lens will work with the E-PL1. My camera is Olympus PEN E-PL3.

Does anyone know what the R stands for?

there was the F4.0-5.6 lens a few years ago, so presumably R means revised

are there any differences between an import one and a regular one?

The imported one has no warranty. The one I bought is made in Vietnam. I do not know where the imported one is made.
