NKOK Discovery Kids Trace N Draw Projector

While I realized it would be a couple years before the child would understand the concept of tracing/drawing, I bought this as a gift for a 2 1/2 year old child I know. After the child opened the present I couldn't believe how much fun the child had. The 2 1/2 year child used it like a coloring book. The child would change the slides and thought they were coloring all the pictures. Although there was nothing on the paper but scribbles after the paper was moved from the projector, the child was proud of their artwork. I can only imagine how much fun this child will have when they get older and realize they can trace the images and actually make pictures.

My grandson (5) has used it every day since he got it. I was somewhat apprehensive for fear that it might have been too "mechanical" or non-imaginative, but he mix-and-matches the different projections into his own composition. Meanwhile he is getting the hang of drawing the different images or charicatures so, what the heck. And, bottom line, as I said-- he uses it every day! Even if it were only "for now," you can't beat that. We'll see.

My kids have used one like this at a friends house over and over and loved it. I like all the storage for the discs and that it came with an extra bulb. When i was trying to lock the head of it in place it seemed finicky. I wouldn't lock easily but if you turned the dial really slow and held the other side real tight it locks. My kids have used it over and over....and so have I!

This product basically did what they said it would however the one I got seems to have a defect. The screw to adjust the head/the direction that the light shines does not tighten so I couldn't get the image to shine in the correct place. My simple fix was to put a toothpick in the hinge to get it to stay up and enable my daughter to draw on the paper. Othert than that snag, the product is fine.

on/off button failed to work during first use. But what we saw of the images was okay but because the lamp needs to be tilted to hit the paper part of the image is always out of focus therefore not that fun for tracing. Too bad b/c the kids really wanted this and tried to make it work and what they did draw they loved.

My son loves to trace different things with this - he is starting to draw on his own since he is in kindergarten, but when he needs help with a particular drawing he goes to this to help him trace it - love it!

Kids love this. Helps them learn to draw and trace.

The parts did not fit right. The top part of the projector did not stay in place and you could not fixate it in one spot. I returned it.
