Hello, my name is Squirt. I'm a 12 year old cat and live in the north of Scotland - it's been c-c-cold here this week! Or as we say here, 'baltic'. With temps of minus 17c forecast I got the human to scour Amazon for something to keep me warm. As soon as I saw this I tapped the screen with a paw, I'd made my choice and who was she to argue? As we cats tend to do I got what I wanted, this self heating pad arrived a couple of days ago and of course I tested it within minutes Oh boy, how have I managed without it? Here's what I like:The human draped it on the back of the sofa, it stays there securely and doesn't slip or slide around.The size (small) is just right for me, a slightly larger than average cat.I love the cover, it feels like brushed cotton but the reverse side is cosy fleece if that's what you prefer.And it does do what it claims to do, reflects body heat very quickly and efficiently. In no time at all I'm as warm and comfortable as can be.So cats, dogs, small animals, if you're looking for a self heating pad just give your human a nudge towards this and get them to buy it. Mine says it's a very good value for money and is delighted to see that I love it so much. Highly recommended, you won't regret buying one!

Great little sleep mat
My cat doesn't like anything too soft and fluffy underfoot so this mat fits the bill. He enjoys a snooze on the smooth side. He can and does sleep on it for hours so I guess it is cosy and comfortable without getting too warm.

of good design but poor execution (misaligned and misshapen) it may serve the cat but not the cat's human carer

Amazing
I bought this for my female cat who can be very fussy about where she sits so it was a risk if she would take to it. I bought it during the really cold spell as she has been sleeping in the kitchen on a blanket for some reason so it can be a little drafty. I had nothing to worry about as she hasn't been off it since, until i had to take it to be washed, she was very grumpy so i had to make the turn around quick so she could have it back. Highly recommend & gets a full 5 stars from Esther.

Perfect for Sleeping
Cat loved this mat as soon as it laid out for her. She doesn't want to get off of it and looks very comfortable. It is not very thick but seems to do the job. Our cat has many other thicker beds but seems to prefer this over them.

My cat loves this pet bed/pad. It's very soft, good quality and a perfect size compared to others I've tried. It also came much quicker than the estimated delivery date
