Essential reading for anyone looking to dive deeper into meditation and mindfulness
As I dove into mindfulness and meditation using the Headspace app, I wanted to learn more around the “Why” behind the “What”. Nirali’s book was essential in helping me understand the meaning behind what I was doing every night before bed. It’s helped me in life, me relationships, and has guided me down a path of self realization. 10/10 would recommend.

I highly recommend this beautifully and thoughtfully written book which brings me “pockets of peace” each day. Nirali so beautifully captures the soul of the Gita and interprets it with such grace and simplicity! I highly recommend this!

An exceptional book with new perspectives that everyone could use
True to its title, this book offers a very unique outlook that simplifies the complexities of the modern world through thoughtful translation of sacred scriptures from the Bhagavad Gita. Purposefully written to provide readers with a resource for finding peace in today’s chaotic world, this “Everyday Gita” is divided into chapters that focus on specific dimensions of life (“The soul, Faith, Death, Obstacles and Failure, Pleasures and addiction, Meditation and prayer, Career, Friends and family, and Fitness and food”). Anyone of any religion or spiritual background can pick up this book and relate to one, if not all, of these universal realities at some point in their lifetime. The convenience of locating the chapter of which you currently identify with as well as the writer’s direct approach eliminates any sense of “fluff” included in this text. Additionally, the author provides an insightful preface of which she welcomes you into the intimate details of her family’s ongoing health battles. This context creates an immediate trust in the author, not only because you can indisputably credit her resilience, but also, it’s clear she has a genuine interest in accompanying her readers on their journey to mental tranquility. Admittedly, as a Christian, I was skeptical of the idea of reading scriptures belonging to a different practice; however, the ancient and unfamiliar dialogue translates into contemporary times in a very straightforward and relatable way. Each chapter opens with a selected verse and an analysis explaining how it corresponds to the given chapter’s theme. The author then seamlessly embeds these principles into tangible examples from our 21st century life. Simply put, the beauty of this book is that, no matter how many times you may read it, you will always learn something new. It’s a book that can always apply to your growth as an individual on your journey towards peace, so long as you are willing to put a halt to searching and embrace the challenges that come with understanding. A quick YET effective read that elicits a thought-provoking narrative onto your own perspective of life.

A perfect book for this tumultuous time
Living a full and meaningful life is always set with its own challenges and is never easy. Although there can be much joy and happiness, life undoubtedly presents each of us with unexpected events that require much resilience and self-reflection. Look at how the current covid pandemic has impacted each and every one of us around the world. Nirali’s book, The Everyday Gita, is a testament to how you approach your life and the lessons that you learn and the inner strengths that you develop from each hardship that you face. It is a perfect book for this tumultuous time. The power of her words, the fortitude and mental stamina she shares about herself, her mother, and her family is what makes this small treasure of a book even that much more meaningful since she is living such a life. A copy of The Everyday Gita is always with me and when I experience a period of self-doubt or need some clarity, it helps guide me to a better place.

Amazing primer on spirituality- everyone should read!
This book is so well written and thoughtful. I've been a fan of spirituality, Hindusim, Buddhism, and other Eastern philosophies for many years. The Bhagavad Gita itself has so many different interpretations and can be hard to decipher at times. This book eloquently and concisely explains how to connect these essential and powerful spiritual ideas to every day life. I've highlighted so many quotes that helped me to connect meaning to my day to day life. I think everyone should pick this copy up and read it to remind themselves of the importance of staying present, mindful, and how to find peace even when life throws a hammer on your plans.Amazing- can't wait to read what else Nirali writes. :)

excellent read
This is a very heartfelt and inspirational book. It gives you a open mind and positive outlook on lifes unexpected challenges. Our thoughts and questions about our higher being and spiritual energies through Nirali's experience gives you strength and understanding. She breaks down so many questions that I myself have questioned and had .Anyone can relate to this excellent read from beginning to end. Or can share with family or friends. Being able to see life in a different light helps the thoughts in our mind during lifes experiences. Very happy to have the book. Its small enough to keep around when I need to revisit a chapter for motivation and clarity. Thanks Nirali Shah

Quick, fulfilling, MUST read! 10/10 would recommend.
This book gave me a whole new perspective on how to handle the tough situations life throws at you. The incredible story of Nirali’s resilience was beyond inspirational! As a christian, it was a fascinating read that gave me a deeper appreciation for faith, mindfulness and my connection with God. It was a quick fulfilling read that provided me with new ways to think about how to handle stress, how to live in the present and how to think and care for others while also taking care of myself. The Everyday Gita is a must read! Add it to your collection, knock it out in a day and see how it shifts your perspective on life!
