Permatex27138 Optimum Red High Temperature Gasket Maker, 8 Oz

Used this oroduct for making self healing injection ports in my mushroom cultivation/liquid culture jars.The silicon in this is EXTREMELY old and does not seal well at all. Half of it was a light orange instead of a dark red.Would reccomend people to just go to a hardware store and buy it there. This company sells very old items as "new."

Works as expected. I applied it on both sides of the copper exhaust manifold gasket on a 1931 Model A Ford and it created a good seal.

Not sure what is up with the toothpaste tubes but the caps all brake now. They also always get holes in them and dry out. Tired of messing with that so got these cans. One came with a broke nozzle but it is still useable. pretty easy to use and less mess than the toothpaste tubes.

Great and easy to use with a high end temperature range. Only needed a small amount to seal gap between new valve cover gasket and engine block. No leak so far.

Very Good stuff for High Heat applications - perfect for RC Airplane engine / exhaust gaskets.

Works great with full control of thickness of bead.
