Great rubber mallet
I got this because I have an Estwing claw hammer that's a beautiful tool but sometimes you need a more tender touch. This one isn't quite as pretty, but it sure did the job (removing office chair gas cylinders). I actually look forward to using it again: the handle is nice and smooth, and it just feels right.

Very durable in when used in our shop.For those who have had an issue, I think it is just the nature of wood--it is a natural material, and they might have received one with a defect in the grain of the wood.
