Good concept but needs work
This was brought to be used by my inlaws who are approaching 90. As a result, we didn't didn't want a complicated digital clock. This clock was chosen for its simplicity. There are two issues that we discovered upon receiving it. First, it will not sit on a flat surface without wanting to roll. Secondly, while the visual part of the timer works very well, the alarm sound was very brief and weak. So if a person wasn't looking at it and doing other things then I seriously doubt the alarm would be heard.

Easy to use
I just learned about a visual timer recently from my son's behavior specialist. He sometimes has a meltdown when transitioning from an activity he likes. He's still pretty young and can't tell time yet and so this visual one really helps with him being able to see how much time is left. The red sliver makes it very easy to see from far away. I also like that it has a strong magnetic back. Main reason why I really liked this one is because it does NOT require any batteries for usage!! Due to it being mechanical, it has to be unwinded ALL the way until at least 55 min AND THEN down to the desired time---this results in the loud ringing once the time is up. There has been a couple of times I forgot to wind it all the way to 55 and the ringing wasn't as loud (my fault). It only took about a day for my son to realize the point of the timer. We use it for everything, playtime, meal times, screen time! It has really helped with the melt downs as now he gets a warning and he can visually see that the allotted time is over. he still has them, but they are much shorter. This timer also greatly helped me with my own time management when doing certain tasks and activities with him!

Great visual timer
This was just what I needed for our more visual kiddos! It was so nice that they could literally watch the time disappear. Just wish there was an option for a vibrate or silent light to go off when the time is up rather than the bell. Other than that, it is a great product!

good for visualizing time limits with kids. i appreciate the classic look. i've dropped it a few times. no damage. it goes tick tick tick. like old school timers. and. well. i. am. old. school. it's nice. the timer.

Perfect design
Easy to set. The broad red marker wraps around perfectly, showing how much time is left. The bottom is a magnet, surprisingly strong on flat surfaces.

Nice but fails its purpose
Its actually very nice but as for its intended purpose it fails. The bell sound is very weak and short. If you're not next it, I doubt u woild hear it.

Love this timer! Apparently it's the latest in timers. I can see across the room how much time is left. Best timer I ever got!!!

Easy to use for seniors and kids
Bought this for my mom. She's getting older and needs help remembering things. It's a great timer. Simple to use, just wish the bell were a little louder
