Penguin Readers Level 4: The Boy in Striped Pyjamas (ELT Graded Reader)

Difficult to read the final few pages, my throat kept catching. I chose to pronounce Auschwitz as it is and not the gentler OutWith as written in the story. Stopped several times to give the children a fuller explanation. Only reason 4 not 5 stars as sometimes it dumbs down a little too much for my 8 and 10 year olds but if they were younger maybe that would have been suitable.

Will encourage reluctant readers who are put off by the thought of reading a whole book.
