Nanuk 909 Waterproof Hard Case - Red

Great size for a boat tool kit. When I purchased, the empty case was more expensive than the foam-filled case. I bought the foam-filled case. All the foam is easily removable. It's not glued in at all.

This is an awesome case! I got it to replace an Eylar 11.8" x 8.3" case, which is a very good quality Pelican 1170 clone and, in my opinion, worth the $20 savings. There was nothing wrong with the Eylar. It was simply too small for my Taurus G3C once I added a reflex sight. The next size up from that Eylar case would have been way too big and bulky. After a lot of researching, I discovered the Nanuk 909 which is the perfect size case for a compact/subcompact handgun with an installed optic. Compared to the Eylar, durability feels about the same. The lid on the Nanuk has a built-in stop that keeps the case from tipping backward. The Eylar does not. The foam in the Nanuk is much better quality, too. It will also hold at least 2 magazines and possibly a small box of rounds. Overall, I love it and even bought a 2nd one in a different color (yellow).

I have been planning to switch out my pelican cases for nanuk's for several years, mainly the smaller peli-1400s which are never full. I have over 50 pelican's and now have over 20 Nanuk 909 & 910's. I did a water test on both. If done properly, it takes 2 days to test one case. (Being a retired scientist). Nanuk passed all test plus one test not listed in any IP testing guidelines. However, i do have some small advice for users, DO NOT OVERPACK, this can cause any plastic case lid to slightly bow and lose of structural/o ring integrity. "Snug" is ok, but if it takes some effort to close, there will be a chance of leakage. This may or may not be the cause of some reviewers post on leaking. Fyi, some of my students overpack the pelicans too, causing leakage.

I got this for my new DJI Mini 2 drone. Everything I need fits into this tiny case just perfectly. It comes with pull-apart foam so you can customize how and where everything fits. It's built like a brick outhouse. I can probably drive over it and it'll still be fine.The latch is IMO as good, or better than the Pelican cases I own, easier to latch and unlatch, PLUS it has a catch that prevents accidental unlatching or opening if the latch gets caught while getting used or pulled out!

I bought this to hold/store the USCG required boating safety kit. In addition to the standard flare gun and strobe, I had plenty of room for a first aid kit, a knife, and back up fishing basics. I knocked it off the dock while rinsing the boat, and everything was secure and dry! Sturdy, and great valued compared to the other premium "waterproof" boxes.

I liked the changeable foam padding so that I can adjust for various shaped items to be placed in the case. I found the size to be right for my needs.

I use this for my video cam system and it's a great case! Sturdy, safe, easy to close and easy to form fit your items inside
