Too hot
It is advertised correctly. It is extremely hot. I love hot food the hotter the better however this I couldnt eat. It is too hot loses flavor. It's mostly beans and a small packet of the hot spices so the price for a bag of beans I thought was way over the top like the hotness.

Different than what I'm used to but very good
There is a surprising amount of tomato in this recipe. I would recommend using cubed meat instead of hamburger, but having said that the kit is really good and makes a great pot of chili that lives up to the promise of its name.
