This is OK. I had no trouble with set up, but I'm pretty tech savvy.I bought this because pretty soon I'll have the need to mix two camera audio feeds together. I like that it has a local SD card for storage. I also like that it's completely isolated from the internet. I don't need to monitor things away from home. And I like that this device is physically not accessible from the internet- the way I have it configured.I have mine wired via ethernet, so I can't comment on WiFi performance.Video performance is slightly better than terrible. Audio performance is one step better than that.I need it to hear a yelling or crying child and it works for that. The auto-mute is great and works for me. I need it because my child sleeps with a sound machine on. When I have it set to 5 (its a number you enter from 0-100). It will kick on when a loud car or truck drives by. In my case I like that as its serves as a test every few minutes.Night vision works well. The video quality is just a poor as day time. It's just very noisy video. It's not blurry or choppy or blocky (those are functions of the network quality usually). As with any IR based night vision system, open eyes reflect a lot and show up as bright white on the camera. I'll admit it's a little scary, but it does serve to show immediately and irrefutibly if the child's eyes are open.It's really expensive given the lack of unique features and poor video quality. I'd feel like it should be $100 less than it is. I'd likely have already bought more if they were cheaper.Overall, I think it's a fine device if you think of it as an audio baby monitor with poor video capabilities. My house is very old and nothing stops a wireless signal like horsehair plaster walls. Since I have it wired to ethernet, that part of the equation is removed. I don't think the features warrant the very high price. It loses one star for it's unjustified high price. It loses it's second star for it's noisy video quality.
