Biblically solid and relevant
The book was biblically solid and easy to follow. The individual chapters were long, but they had numerous real life examples. I appreciated that the book looked at evangelism in a way most in America don't but it's the way we need to.

A helpful, thought-provoking book
Elliot Clark has provided the Church with a real gem. “Evangelism As Exiles: Life on Mission As Strangers in our Own Land” is succinctly written, biblically faithful, pastorally helpful, and culturally wise. Clark served as a missionary in an unnamed, Muslim-majority country where evangelism could not be overt. Clark suggests—insightfully I believe—that we are perhaps a decade away from such a situation in the United States. Why? Because Christianity no longer has cultural cachet. With every passing year there is less Christian commonality with our neighbors who do not know Christ. The center will not hold. It is in this context, therefore, that we must be prepared to evangelize (faithful followers of Christ always do).But Clark does not simply share his opinion; rather, most of the book is devoted to a helpful and practical exposition of I Peter—a New Testament letter written to faithful believers who are living in exile and, indeed, persecuted for their faith. Clark draws a helpful parallel from I Peter with his experience as an exile, and translates that into the context of modern America. This book is thought provoking. This book is convicting. This book should be read by all thoughtful Christians who believe that the Great Commission to “go and make disciples “ is still relevant. Yes, this book is a gem and I urge you to read it thoughtfully and allow it to inform your thinking and,by extension, your evangelism. Happy Reading!

Everyone should read
This book is a great source of how to evangelize in our current culture. I would recommend it to church leadership, small book study, and personal reading.
