Q: Does it look like a fleece or a sweater?

Looks like a sweater, and is very soft to the touch.

Q: Does this get pills like sweatshirts?

It does not appear like it would, but i have only washed it one time. The material on mine is more of a knit finish - Heather Gray color.

Well. The expensive caviar is grayish not black , but not solid . It is luminous I assume in fabric it is a grey with darker grey in it . I hope it makes sense
