A great looking piece
I like the look of this light. It combines modern style with a little bit of steampunk, and the finish gives it an antiqued look. Assembling it is simple, though tedious. Each of the metal cages are attached with eight small nuts. That design is a double edged sword. Yes, it allows the base of the cage to be smaller. If the cage spun off, it would be wider, and if the cage had a door, it wouldn't be a seamless look. So I can understand why they did it. It could just be a pain having to change the bulbs, especially once installed. Assembly will take about 10 minutes. The instructions are fairly brief, so make sure either you know how to properly install lighting or know someone who does. The one thing I was surprised about is the packaging. There were a few nuts loose in the box, and the cages were stacked inside of each other without any protection between them, only a piece of thin styrofoam on the outside. The base came in a bag, and wrapped in styrofoam as well. Nothing was damaged, I've just seen fixtures which cost $20 packed better than this.In the end this is a gorgeous piece. I just wish it was easier to change the bulbs, and a packaging redesign is definitely much needed.

One notable downside
I absolutely love the look of this Vintage Iron Cage ceiling light. It's the type of decor that you might decorate a whole room around. It is very easy to assemble and mount, though I definitely recommend having someone with an understanding of electrical safety to do the actual ceiling mounting. The one very negative downside of this light is that, to attach the cages that go around each individual light bulb there are many, many small screws that must be individually tightened. Which means that, when a light bulb burns out, the screws must all be undone to replace the bulb, then reattached and tightened. This might not be too much of an issues on a light that is on the wall or down low, but a ceiling light is a bit trickier. If you're willing to take on this hassle - which isn't a problem until a bulb burns out - this ceiling lamp is otherwise great.

Cute, but Come On!
This light is much smaller than I really anticipated. Not sure why, but I imagined it the size of a ceiling fan. It is a flush mount light. No Edison light bulbs are included, you have to purchase those separately. Honestly, the light is good. It looks nice. It is simple. It is stylish. It is good quality. The packaging just leaves so much to be desired. The directions are laughably sparse. (Hope you know what you are doing.) There were loose nuts all over the box. None of the little pieces were secured. See the pictures. I opened the box and proceeded to spill tiny nuts all over the place taking the light out. That was fun trying to find them all before the toddler. And this light is going to be an absolute pain in the butt to change the bulbs. But it looks cute.

Love This Look
The WestMenLights 50011005 Vintage Iron Cage Shade 5 Light Ceiling Light is a beautiful light. I love this look and have designed an apartment we are renting with this look in the dining/living main room. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it and it brings up the "style" aspect a lot. This light is beautiful and was easy to mount, if you are used to mounting lights/ceiling fans this shouldn't be a big deal. The install was a little more complicated with all the screws that needed to be attached to the cage area, so the cursing and dropping of screws was up a notch compared to the last light we installed.Style vs. Ease - the style factor is high. I recommend organizing yourself before installing. It looks beautiful.

Cheaply made.
For the price, I'm afraid the quality just isn't there for this light. I loved the way it looked in the photo, but to be honest, I was shocked when it arrived. There was minimal packaging. It had just placed in a plastic bag and then wrapped with a very thin layer of foam. The cages were wrapped in another, and it was tossed in a box.The metal is thin, and the finish on mine looks painted on. Assembly will take forever. Each cage has eight tiny nuts that attach it to the body of the light. If you have a bulb go out, you would have to take off all eight nuts to change it. The cages are flimsy, and I will have to bend them to get them straightened out. I've seen similarly priced lights of much higher quality.

MoDeRn AnD aWeSoMe...!
This West Men Light is definitely what would be a called a modern look. We ordered one and are very pleased with it. The metal cage protects the bulbs if necessary, but also gives the same amount of light off as if they were not present. We have not decided where to put it yet, but would agree with the makers that it has multi-tasking capabilities. They suggest bedrooms, dinning room, hallway, living room, office, kitchen, and more! I was even thinking about our hallway at top of the stairs leading into the bedrooms as our choice. You will be pleased with this light.

Not worth the headache
I am not in love with this vintage light fixture. I really wanted to love it as I am redecorating but I find it to be a nuissance. First, the packaging was terrrible where it was thrown in a box without a picture and you couldn't tell what you were getting from the outside. Second the directions were sparse. Third to change a bulb you would have to take the entire thing out of the cage instead of individually.
