Rizzoli Electa Sorolla: The Painted Gardens

fan of Sorolla. This book is great addition to his other books

I don’t know much about the artist which is why I wanted the book. I’m a big fan of garden paintings and for that this book does not disappoint. I’ve picked it up half a dozen times and have still not looked at all the images, and I’ve read the beginning of the text and feel that I’ve learned already and that the text is enjoyable. Happy I got it. The image could be a tiny bit better, why I took one star off for the picky picky customer, but there is much worse out there if you are interested in the subject this is pretty good, his garden paintings really are beautiful.

Sorolla is best known for his bright billowy seascapes but I was very pleased with these reproductions of gardens! The Alhambra, the Real Alcazar, and his own garden in Madrid.
