Scotch-BriteGlass Cooktop Pads, For Glass Stovetops, Tackle Burnt-On Messes, 4 Pads

I ordered these Scotch-Brite Cooktop Pads because I was fed up with the stubborn stains on my old stovetop. I hate having to clean with a cream cleaner because it takes forever to wipe all of it out and I'm usually not satisfied with the results because I'm always left with a dull film on the cooktop surface. So, when I heard about these sponges that cleaned using only water, I had to give them a try. At first glance, these sponges look like any other cleaning sponge, but they have a micro-texture scrubbing side that scrubs without scratching the cooktop. The sponges are about 1 inch thick and are about 5.75 inches from tip to tip.~~~~~~~~ How To Use ~~~~~~~~1- First, you need to sprinkle a small amount of water onto your stovetop surface. (I use a misting water bottle)2 - Then, using the textured side of the sponge, scrub the surface and work your way through the burnt-on food.3 - Once the job is done, you just need to wipe your cooktop with a clean cloth or a paper towel.4 - The sponge can then be rinsed off with water (or it can also be thrown into the dishwasher since they are dishwasher safe)I consistently get great results with these pads. Like any other burnt-on food cleaning method, you DO need some elbow grease. Expecting this to take 2 seconds without any effort is just not realistic. What I especially like about using these, is that they don't create a mess like cream cleaners do. I don't have to scrape off dried-up cream residue from the cracks of my cooktop. This is by far my favorite tool to clean my glass stovetop. The sponges are sturdy. They last for a long time. Good purchase. Do not recommend. Sure it does the job, after much effort spent scrubbing and swearing. Once you've spent a great deal of time and energy, and lifted only a miniscule amount of baked on grime, you then have to use a cooktop cleaner to wipe the top. Otherwise the water leaves streaks on the glass and no one will notice your wasted effort.

I have been using the razor scrapers to clean crud off the glass top cooktop then polishing with the special glass cook top polish. I can get a fairly shiny surface. This pad has one big advantage in that it can't cause an actual cut mark in the glass top as can happen with the regular glass top scraper. However it does not remove the built up crust as well as the scraper. I will continue using both and see how that works out.

Got some really stubborn caked on stains on my stove and hoping this would be the miracle product that makes the stove look brand new. It doesn't get everything off and only cleans with very vigorous scrubbing. Not sure this is any better than just using a regular sponge.
