I love these, I love, love, love these. I have a 6 month old GSD/Border collie and a 2 year old Australian Shepherd/ border Collie mix. The 2 year old is pretty well trained and walks well on a gentle leader but a regular leash? Forget it! She gets too excited! The 6 month old had very seldomely been leashed. She sticks by us, but in circumstances where I have too.... Vet visits, parking lots, it's a night mare with 2 -50# pups. And puppy is still growing.(my dogs are highly active 2 plus hours of running, jumping swimming per day, they are strong and have the border collie obsesive compulsive disorder) Last ocean trip I had to leash them quite a bit, with a coupler they would get tangled and choke each other, hurt each other and both of my arms, shoulder and back from were so terribly sore for a week. I would give a million stars if I could the product is that good, nice quality, great fabric, soft foam inside but only gave 4 because the sizes seem off. Unless I'm measuring incorrectly, then apologies. 1 girl is just under 27" arround behind the front legs, the other just over and at the smallest setting the large still swam on them. The exchange and return was easy and free but the medium still seems large. It's at the smallest setting possible. Fits the 2 year old (just over 27") just right but it's a little large for the 6 month old. Still worked great. And that's just fine by me cause she's still growing. Voyage trip, no training.. off to the vet. Held them both in one arm, phone, wallet keys in the other hand and not a single issue. Secondly it was a bit weird to put on. The picture directions were useful but not really. Found it was better to put the front accross the chest and buckle at the shoulder then do the belly strap. For the record. I'm a great fan of gentle leader. They also have a no pull harness that I quickly retuned because it was too big and crazy hard to figure out. The gentle leader itself (head harness) requires training, and like I said, with 2 dogs at different levels I haven't been able to train. Might buy 2 more to keep in extra vehicle. Don't want to be caught off guard without a leash.
