Hamilton Double Thick Nylon Deluxe Dog Collar, 1-Inch by 22-Inch, Hot Pink

Everything about this collar is really nice except the sizing issues (mentioned in almost every review I read). Even after reading the other reviews' suggestions I still ended up with the wrong one so I'm posting a pic of the collar so you can see where the holes are for yourselves. I had the same problem with another Hamilton collar - I wonder if Hamilton will consider adding the measurements of each hole to the listings? Sizing issues aside, this is a very nice, well-made and good-looking collar. The nylon is smooth and thick and all the metal parts seem to be of good quality (I am especially pleased with the metal-reinforced holes).

I echo many others when I say this is a GREAT collar - once you get the size right! This was the only reason for giving the item 4 stars. My 70lb lab mix has an 18' neck, but the 22" collar was the best fit. As you can see in the photo, I have it on the 3rd grommet, which fits him snugly but not too tight. It allows for wiggle room when he has his winter coat! This collar is very high quality and I expect it to last a long time - worth the money for sure! The Dark Green appears brighter in the picture online - it is much darker in person but still nice. I also have one of those sliding pet tags that I was able to slide on to this collar - it was a tight fit getting it on, but I'm confident it won't be sliding off at ALL. Love the color selection, the fact that the holes have grommets and that it was a belt style buckle as opposed to the plastic buckles that my dog loves to chew. My dog is also extremely active, and I never worry that this collar will come off while he's running, wrestling or swimming. Great purchase.

I love the Hamilton collars! No other collar is as brightly colored and sturdy as these are. The metal grommets are handsome and stand the test of time. I have ordered (almost) every color, so for all the doggy parents that are questioning which color to purchase, here is a decent guide (see photos). I have only returned one color so far, which was Lavender (not pictured). The Lavender was more like a purplish grey, in my opinion. These are all size 22x1.

Before I bought this collar I read most all of the reviews. The only issue I saw was the size of the collar vs, dog's neck. I measured my 55lb bull terrier's old collar (sized perfectly to her) and it was 20", so based on the reviews I read, I ordered the 24" just to be on the safe side. I absolutely LOVE this collar! It is extremely well made - it's excellently stitched, very strong but soft nylon (it's not stiff or rough), the color (purple) is amazing, the holes have rivets, and it has a separate, thinner tag loop along with the more sturdy, thicker leash loop. With the 24" collar, I have it secured on the second to last hole (just like the picture), which fits her perfectly. I highly recommend this collar, and order it 4" larger that your dog's actual neck measurement. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

This is my second order of this collar. THEY RUN SMALL, BY LIKE 4". THIS IS A PROBLEM. Our puppy is outgrowing his 18" collar, so I ordered the 20" collar to replace it, It was too small. It was actually 18" when I measured it, so I returned it and ordered the 22" collar, and now this one does not reach around his neck to the first hole, it's too tight. When I take a tape measure and measure our dogs neck, it is 18". These should have worked, but they are way under sized. It's too bad. The collar itself is exactly what I was looking for, but I am done with this company. The first hole is set back two inches, so seriously, order 4 to 6 inches longer than you need.

Unfortunately, I had to return this collar as it was just too thick for my female mini-schnauzer.BUT, it is a GORGEOUS COLLAR!!! The color (lavender) is beautiful, the material is slightly reflective, the buckle/hardware is solid and the collar is well made.Heed the other reviewers warnings and buy a length at least 1, but more than likely 2 sizes bigger than you think you need. I ordered the 18" length for my 12 lb female mini-schnauzer, and while the length was perfect, the width was too much for my little lady. I think the width/18" length would be ok for a 14-18lb male mini-schnauzer, but if you have a dog that is smaller than that, stick with the single-thick from Hamilton. This double thick collar is more appropriate for solid short-haired dogs that weigh over 18lbs, and would really compliment a bully breed, lab, or dane.Excellent seller, fabulous product, and easy return.

Very colorful. Looks very pretty on my black dog. For us, it is mainly to hold id tags. Fabric in Weave- colored collars is not as dense as in solid- colored collars, therefore i am not sure it will work for very strong dogs.Solid-colored collars are very durable. I buy them for years for my Shepherds.Also, sizing is incorrect. Buy one size larger than they explain. I had to return one, it was smaller than expected. I love that these collars have a separate ring for id tags. Most other brands don't.Four stars for bad sizing instructions.

Not sure why Amazon asked me to review again, but..... the bright collar faded quickly and the grommets that were not being used fell out, so husband took a match to the holes to 'melt' them so they would not shred. The collar is pliable enough to get the collar on easily. Also, a big issue with Hamilton collars (I've bought others), they do not measure what they advertise - all short, so beware! BUY LARGER than you think you should order! If I could find another brand on Amazon that had the double nylon thickness, I'd try that instead. The hardware is metal, so no plastic to suddenly snap and potentially lose your best friend. If you need a durable collar, okay, but if you want good looking/cute, no - the colors fade quickly. Remember, they are SHORTER than advertised from end to end by at least an inch.

Whilst the Hamilton double thickness collar is excellent quality, I've just found out that 20 inch collar I ordered for my growing Labrador was only actually 18 inch. I only discovered this when he outgrew the collar earlier than expected. Really annoyed! My advice: check the collar size before using it. :(

Lovely collar, unfortunately a tad small. Ordered 20" for my dog with a 15" neck, and it fits in the last grommet. Wish I went another size up.

El número de pulgadas es la medida total del collar y no la medida del cuello del perro. Sin embargo, es de muy buena calidad. Compré 2: #22 para un perro de cuello 19" y #20 para un perro de cuello 17". Se ve muy resistente. Lo recomiendo.
