If you want a product that smooths and brightens your skin and includes a spf 30 sunscreen, you have found itin DCL's SKIN RENEWAL COMPLEX SPF 30. Tingling when you apply it is minimal and I am careful not to apply itnear the delicate eye area. I have very few wrinkles on my face and also use sunscreen in addition. My onlynegative is that the price has nearly tripled since I started using this product and the cap on the containercracks easily. At $130 for one ounce that lasts for about four months, it is very pricey.

I see the benefit to facial moisturizers with SPF protection – especially for women who want the protection and still wear make-up. The bonus here is that it’s SPF 30, giving you much fuller protection than other moisturizers that might provide minimal protection if any at all. The only downside is the strong SPF smell when you first apply it. This, however, fades fairly quickly. You also may feel a slight tingling from the glycolic acid when it hits your skin – especially men putting this on right after shaving.This contains glycolic acid rather than hyaluronic acid. Glycolic acid is good for treating flaky or dull skin, while hyaluronic acid is more for hydration and pumping up the skin. As the smallest alpha hydroxyl molecule, it can penetrate the skin deeply, helping to reduce the appearance of age spots and in some cases, wrinkles.I liked that the cream went on lightly and absorbed quickly. While there was a strong SPF smell, it did fade after a minute or two. After using this for a month, I have noticed a slight reduction in some freckling and a few spots, but nothing with a wow! factor. My wife tried this too but didn’t see much of an improvement after a few weeks of use. She said her face still felt dry after using, but you’ll get that with a glycolic acid base as opposed to one with hyaluronic acid. She said makeup applied well over it - it wasn’t greasy and goes on smoothly without having to wait long before being able to apply makeup.While this is an expensive option, it does provide some benefit in helping some freckles and age spots fade. The bonus is the SPF 30 which you can apply makeup and feel confident you’ll have some degree of protection while outdoors.Overall 3 ½ stars.

Works very well at skin renewal and rejuvenation. There is no way to actually gage the SPF protection. Its a great product but not enough to justify the price. When it makes this 62 year old face look like a 24 year old then ill say its worth it.

First I need to start off by saying that I have very sensitive skin and search high and low for skin care that won't make me completely break out in a rash. I have always tried to avoid things like glycolic peels, retinol creams etc because I feared a terrible reaction. Over the last couple of years I have experimented with them because they are SO good at rejuvenating old skin which is really important. I've had some terrible reactions with some products but they were cheaper and had ingredients that probably didn't need to be in there. So onto the review for this.After I washed my face I put a very small dot of product on my finger and rubbed it on my forehead first. I figured if I was going to have a reaction, let's start there. At first it had a slight tingle and then a burning sensation. Not a bad burning sensation at all just a very very slight sensation. At first I thought I should wash it off, but I've had this with other products and it goes away if I give it a minute. It went away. I waited 2 hours to ensure there was no reaction so that I could apply to the rest of my face, which I did. Same tingling/burning sensation that went away. I went to bed, woke up the next morning, washed my face, applied cream and within just ONE NIGHT my face had noticeable improvement in tightness, color & glow. I've continued using it every other day and It works beautifully!I could deduct a star for price, but I figured the review is about product alone and I had such good results I have to give the product itself 5 stars. It is amazing. The fact that I can actually take care of my skin without worrying about a major flare up is worth its weight in gold to me. I'm a fan!

This would have been my ultimate dream product (SPF + AHA), but after reading the fine print I discovered a nasty surprise. Rubbing CHOLESTEROL on my face? Yuck! No thanks! Modern, sophisticated formulations should not rely on asking women to essentially smear animal lard on our faces! Hopefully they will reformulate this product at some point, in which case I will be happy to try it again.

Since most foundations have a maximum of 15 SPF rating it’s nice to know this skin renewal lotion amps that up to SPF 30. Where I live in Southern California the sun can be brutal. The texture of this cream is lightweight and a smal dot goes a long way and it adheres to your skin quickly. As per the packaging warning there is a slight tingling feeling as you work it into your skin and because of this I hesitate to put it too near the more delicate area around my eyes. (I’m using a separate moisturizer for the under eye area). Though the results aren’t dramatic I can feel my skin plumping slightly. Sometimes I use it on its own and other times I use it under my foundation.It dispenses with a pump which makes it easy to control the flow so you can precisely get just a small amount so nothing is wasted. This seems important since this product is not at a drugstore price point. I’ve only been using it for a week so I’m not sure if the results justify the cost but the way it plumps my skin, provides a higher protective SPF, and how soothing it feels I’m liking it.

I was a bit confused at first because this is sold as lotion but the bottle says all three ingredients are forms of sunscreen. Nonetheless I put it on twice daily, once in the morning and once before bed. It is very hydrating, it leaves my face shiny but does not feel greasy like a normal sunscreen. I didn't feel a tingling sensation as it stated it might. The most surprising part of using this lotion is how much it brightened and smoothed my complexion. The spf is just an added benefit. I will continue to use this as a moisturizer and facial sunscreen.
