Monoi Tiare Tahiti (Gardenia) Bar Soap 4.55 Ounces

If you love the scented oils they make, I want you to know upfront that this is not that. This is soap. Not a scented oil. It's job is to clean your body and therefore it can't leave a strong scent behind or else it's not cleaning you. Do you know what it smells like? SOAP. It does smell like the scented oil but even a little stronger is the fragrance of real, natural soap. I think a lot of folks don't know what real, natural soap smells like, because we're used to the chemistry lab soap we get in grocery stores, that contain all sorts of crazy ingredients that aren't good for us, but are filled with chemical fragrances that hide the smell of the soap.

Smells lovely

This is far and away my favorite soap. I’ve been using it for a number of years. It is coconut and gardenia. It lathers up really well and moisturizes the skin really well and lasts a really long time. The smell is devine and transports you away to a faraway tropical paradise. Love it!

I have purchased this soap several times in the past from different sellers (and directly in Tahiti), and I normally love this scent. However, the version I received this time smells like mothballs. It also does not have the flower embossed on it as shown in the photos, which makes me wonder if the company has recently changed something about their process, or if this is an old bar with a scent that's "gone bad". It's very disappointing, especially considering the price. The last bar I ordered was just a few months ago and I loved using it, it made my bathroom smell like the tropics. This bar smelled terrible as soon as I opened the box, I wish I'd returned it before I used it. I was going to try to use it up but I dislike it so much that I'll probably throw it out and try buying it again from a different seller.

Nice smell granddaughter loves it

I first found this product while vacationing in Tahiti and loved it. Bought bars of this soap for myself and everyone I knew. This was several years ago, so I’d forgotten about it. So when I found it again, I was thrilled! This is the same soap sold everywhere in Tahiti so I couldn’t wait to get it. I’m so very happy to find it! The scent is amazing! It has a nice silky feeling on your skin and rinses well. It’s moisturizing but not greasy. I love it!

The first time I used this soap was on the Island of Moorea in the French Polynesia Isands. On a hot summer day it is wonderful soap for your refreshing shower. The fragrance is totally Tahitian!

I grew up in Hawaii where tiare (gardenia taitensis) bushes are common. The smell they emit is Intensely sweet and refreshing. When I saw this soap i wondered why in Hawaii we didnt have it available, so I bought this out of curiosity. As soon as I opened the box I knew right away why Hawaii didn't have this stuff. it smelled nothing like tiare. It smells more like a cheap bar of soap from the swap meet. Nothing sweet and nothing refreshing. I Would not buy again. I understand that this is a Tahitian company, and These reviews can have an impact on their business. So I'm giving them 3 stars for the after effects of the soap. Unlike cheap soaps, This soap left my skin feeling moist and clean.

This soap bar smells amazing. I was in Tahiti a few years ago and I was looking for a gift that would remind us of that trip. his was just what I was looking for, it smells exactly like the tiare flower without being overpowering. I haven't tried the soap but I did just purchase it for the scent. Shipping was incredibly fast... received in two days.

Ich kann den Hype absolut nicht nachvollziehen und der Preis ist mehr als nur überteuert: Als ich das Päckchen geöffnet habe, kam mir schon der typische Seifengeruch entgegen! Nichts mit Urlaub, Tahiti o.ä. Ich kenne andere "Monoi Tahiti" Produkte und habe sowohl Duschgel als auch ein Eu de Toilette sowie Öl in dieser Duftrichtung für den Sommer, was mich in Urlaubsstimmung versetzt. Aber das hier riecht in keinster Weise danach, sondern einfach nur penetrant nach Seife. Schade, denn ich wäre gerne von der Plastikverpackung weggekommen und auf Seife umgestiegen.
