Grohflex Timeless Dual Function Pressure Balance Trim With Control Module

This trim is exactly what I was looking for in my newly remodeled bath. It is truely timeless. After comparing reviews of various manufacturers, I found Grohe to be the best quality and the prices on Amazon were very competitive. Definitely worth the extra cost for such a beautiful product.

I purchased this trim kit as part of a new bathroom in which we installed a new whirlpool that was going to serve double duty as a shower. I found the Grohe 19867 trim to be what I was looking for, and promptly purchased both the trim and rough in box. The rough in went exceedingly well and I have nothing but good things to say about that. The trim kit, however, leaves a few things to be desired.The good:1. Great design, with both volume/diverter controls being handled by the "back" lever and temperature being controlled by the front lever.2. The cartridge body takes about 15 seconds to install in the rough in box, and the facing trim takes maybe another 5 minutes, including temperature adjustment.3. Operation is smooth without a lot of slop or playThe bad:1. The faceplate is plastic, which given the cost of this unit is disappointing.2. During construction, I managed to lose the screw that secures the two levers to the cartridge body. I contacted Grohe USA asking for help, and after a few days received a prompt one line reply (without so much as a hello or goodbye) giving me the part number for the ENTIRE handle kit. Given that I cannot find anyone who carries the handle kit, I can't say for sure how much it will cost, but having to pay what i'm sure will be close to $100 for a $1 screw is ridiculous. Add the rather curt reply with no further hint of assistance and I can say that Grohe will not be getting any more of my business.All in all, I would have been happy with this had I been able to obtain a simple replacement part, but given that I'm unable to complete the install until I can find a single screw and the distributor has been less than helpful, I can't recommend this or other Grohe products as sooner or later, things will wear out and break.

this controls the temperature, volume, and diverts ceiling shower and wall shower all with one hole on the wall and one module instead of mutiple module. but you cannot run water from both showerheads at same time.our control module part leaked and ended up leaking to the walls. we bought a new one to replace the original part. Grohe offered to send us the dysfunctional part but it was on 2 months backorder. (they ultimately mailed us the replacement part 2 months too late) so the most efficient way was to buy a whole new product. I dont know if the control module leak was an installation error by my contractor or a defective part..the starlight chrome is nothing special.. it is just normal chrome.. not worth any premium price. thanks

Well this seemed to work ok for the first few years but then the handle broke off. The web support form to submit a warranty replacement request on the Grohe site doesn't recognize the part number so I can get the replacement part. Overall a bad experience with Grohe. So now I have an expensive shower that doesn't work and no way to get a replacement part. For the price I expected way better quality.

Nice product for the price. I have been using this for 1.5 years and is trouble free. Is a nice feature that the diverter is built into one trim. Very smart. Saves on having to buy and install an additional diverter. Is a good product.

There is no "click" when you reach the neutral point between the 2 controls.I have to keep adjusting the lever until I reach it. Very poor design. Can not believe that this is a German product (May be the company was sold and they kept the name to fool people?) ... not to mention the industrial look and the plastic trim..!. For the price, I was expecting a much better product. We are stuck since the wall valve dictates the use of Grohe product and nothing else.

After almost 3 years using, I have to say it's a great product for life time. no complaints at all.
