Workable If You Consider This A Collection Of “Parts”
I Understood When Buying This, That It Would Be Marginal But Usable As Delivered. The Bad:No Way Will This Thing Handel 15 Amps Per The Description.1) The Wiring On The Cord Appears To Be 18 Ga Or So, It’s Not Up To Handling 15 AmpsAND The Micro-switch Inside Is Clearly Marked 10A (AMP)2) The Ground Wire Was Not Connected To Anything. (It Should Be Attached With A Ring Terminal To The Metal Case For Obvious Safety Reasons)3) The Cord Is Secured Inside With A Screw And A Flimsy Metal Strap That Could Easily Be Pulled Out4) No Gasket Supplied Between Housing And Top As Shown In One Of The Product PhotosThe Good:Mechanical Parts Are Of Better Than Good Quality So I:1) Replaced Strap With Waterproof Cord Fitting From Local Home Repair Store For $3.002) Added Ring Terminal To Ground Wire And Screwed To Case Using Existing Screw From Flimsy Strap3) This Is Probable Excessive, But I’m Getting A Gasket for the Lid Made Via 3D Printing.Overall, I Am Giving This A 5 Star Review Because The Parts I Really Needed To Be Heavy DutyAre the Housing And Lid, And It Pretty Much Is What I Expected. Also, I Consider This A 10 Amp DeviseWhich Is A Lot More Than I Need For My Applications. With The Modofocations It Now Compares With Foot Switches Costing 3 Times As Much.

Electric foot pedal
Good quality, only issue is, it slades easily on my concrete floor. It does stand a little high but it is well made!

Not grounded but easy to fix. Worked for log splitter.
Working great for my Earthquake log splitter (I wrapped a strap around its momentary switch so that it's always on - great for one-handed operation). The inside of this pedal switch's enclosure is not grounded and should be but it is easy to fix. Just strip the insulation from the green wire, add a ring terminal and fasten it to the enclosure using the screw that holds the wire clamp (I've included before and after photos of mine). This way, if any of the internal wiring were ever to touch the metal case, you will be protected from electrical shock. The switch is rated for a 1/8th horsepower motor at 125VAC. Its resistive load rating is 15A. The wires in the cord are 18AWG, which is extremely thin but my log splitter seems to be working ok even with 100 feet of extension cord. FYI, even the thinnest extension cords you can buy at Walmart are at least 16AWG, which is 3 times as thick. I wish they would use 12AWG wire. One thing to note is that metal clamp holding the cord isn't very strong, so don't pull too hard on the cord. If it becomes an issue, I'll put a wire tie around the cord behind the clamp. As a side note, if you wanted the switch to be always on, just switch the wire over to the other terminal (NC - normally closed) on the switch. That way when you press the switch, it will turn off the device instead of turning it on.

Great for a motorized meat grinder or stuffer. Dangerous on a drill press.
Well built, easy to use. Does exactly what it says. It keeps your hands free to do the work.I use it on a meat grinder, and it stays with the grinder. I'm purchasing another to dedicate to a motorized stuffer. It is easy to accidentally press the pedal and cause the motor to go on. Caution is advised.

It's better than the plastic ones I was getting but needed improvements.
This thing is fairly sturdy but it's die-cast so don't kick it around or drop it.First thing I did was what some others suggested: Hook up the ground wire to the case.Since I am using this in a wet environment I covered the electrical connections in silicone and siliconed up the hole where the cord runs in the box (which was wide open) and around the edge of the top panel (which is not sealed at all) and made the thing water tight. It's a bit cumbersome but seems to work fine and water isn't getting into the box... yet.
