Great for the price, but I would change a few things.
Just got this and I am not disappointed for the price. The product works as advertised so far. A couple of things that already annoyed me though: 1) The instructions are very brief and do not specify that you must charge the product fully in order to get it to work. Once I charged it, following the instructions was strait forward 2) This is one of those products that "supports wifi" by broadcasting it's own SSDI to which you connect to use the product. It works. It gets the job done. But it's really annoying...you've just turned your smart phone into a single purpose screen for the camera, you can't connected to another wifi network so you have no internet and are stuck using a second device if you need to do other tasks. Boo. My Nikon camera does this too and I just don't get why you'd design it that way. All I can think is it must be cheaper. --- That said, I give 4 stars because the product seems well made and it works. It will definitely do the job I bought it for -- exploring a drain pipe in my rental house -- and I can definitely see how it will be helpful in future projects. If I could choose between this one and one with a built in display, I'd definitely still choose this one -- no sense in paying for that dedicated display. But I wish it connected to your wifi instead of publishing it's own... that still just mystifies me.

Works good for what I needed it for
The video/picture quality isn't what I expected, but it did serve its purpose. I had a clog in the sewer drain under my house. I inserted the camera through the clean out and found the reason for the clog. Between 9 and 19 feet into the pipe, I found a lot of tree roots coming in the bottom and sides of the cast iron pipe. Looks like I'm going to have a lot more work ahead of me to fix that. I wish the video/picture quality was sharper so I could have seen the damage more thoroughly, but it did work. Also, if anyone else is purchasing this for the same reason, I have a piece of advice for you. You can send the camera into the sewer drain duct taped to PEX pipe. PEX is more flexible than PVC and you can usually puchase the length of PEX that you need for the job instead of purchasing an entire roll of it, which can be more than $100. I used the 1/2" PEX. I duct taped the camera to the PEX at every foot, that way when I found the section of drain pipe that had damage, I knew exactly how far in it was. Just be sure to tape the first piece directly behind the camera, on the wire itself and make sure you keep it pulled tight against the PEX as you continue. Don't let any slack gather. Good luck!

Not great for smaller drains, software is marginal
Bought this (50 ft. version) to try and scope a 1-1/2" floor drain, but could not get past the first turn in the floor trap. The camera unit at the end is about 1.5" itself so won't fit past any turns in this size drain line. If it were a 3" or larger line, or if mine had a 45 degree cleanout port it would probably work OK. To be fair I did not try the fish tape idea, but doubt it would make a difference in this use case. The unit works as it should but the image quality and the software are lacking. They claim up to 2592*1944 resolution, but I saw no difference between that setting and the lowest resolution setting. Both gave a decent, but not very clear picture. There is apparently a 1080p setting but because I'm using a smaller iPhone (SE 2020) I can't access it -- the dropdown list goes off the screen and can't scroll to select it.The unit uses Wi-Fi to connect to your phone instead of BT. So you have to connect you phone to the unit's WiFi to use it. Any glitch in the unit's WiFi and your phone will switch back to it's default network and you have to connect all over again. For the price (under sixty dollars at the time) you certainly get what you pay for, and in many instances this will do the basic job.

Too flimsy
Well, I won’t say the positive reviews are fake, but I can say that this probe is too flimsy to do what it’s marketed to do.I used this in 2 different 4 inch sewer lines and as soon as the end meets the pipe wall, e.g. the first bend you encounter, it begins to bunch up and curl. It can’t slide past any resistance, even thin muck on the pipe wall. The light is dimmable; however, the software seems to overcome your adjustments. Meaning if you turn the brightness full to see something in the pipe, if the light reflects off the white PVC pipe, the software dims the light down automatically. So the brightness is semi-adjustable. You can turn it up, but the software will turn it down again. It’s some kind of HDR/WDR feature, but I didn’t see any way for the user to control or disable it. Perhaps it’s the app, perhaps it’s the iPhone. I understand the point because you wouldn’t be able to see anything but a white, overexposed image if it didn’t do that, but the problem is that as you’re moving the scope down the pipe it makes it hard to see obstacles to navigate. I felt the WDR was competing with my own brightness adjustments Also, I’m new at using this so maybe a huge part of the problem is that I just lack skill with scoping pipes. Extremely disappointed with this. For what it is, it costs a fortune. I guess I’ll try to return it. Serious bummer, though, because I really needed this tool to work.UPDATE: I’ve read some reviews here where people have attached the probe to a metal pipe snake to add rigidity and seem to have had some success with that. I also saw a review by someone who put the scope through a small ball to keep it from catching on the pipe joints with some success. I’ll try those ideas and see if I’m happier with this tool. The image quality is very good at its focal point. The focal point is not really adjustable (there’s a zoom function) so if you get the camera too close to an object, it blurs. I’ve included 3 photos so show this.

A quality product for the price point
So it's a little confusing to setup at first. Ywo apps are listed when you go to download. The instructions list one app and Amazon list another. Use the Amazon directions. Other than that using the camera is super simple. The line is some sturdy great for tight spots and short depths but bad if you a wide metal pipes. The magnetic tip will keep sticking to the pipe. Overall with a few tweaks of ingenuity it got the job done

Saved me big bucks
This inexpensive inspection camera paid for itself the first time I used it to inspect drainage pipes. It worked fine!
