Star TrekStarships Special S.S. Enterprise NX-01 Refit Die-Cast Metal Vehicle with Magazine 6

This is a must have for lovers of the USS Enterprise...it's the evolutionary step between the origin NCC-1701 and the NX-01.This is Doug Drexler's refit design for one of the Star Trek "Ships of the Line" calendars, and seeing it IRL in my hands is a real treat. It takes the NX-01 from a design that apes the Akira class ship of the 24th Century and legitimizes it as a ship that fits into the visual language originated by Matt Jeffries 55 years ago. Its biggest than I thought, it's got a nice solid feel, and the diecasting, plastic, detailing and decals really do it for me. It's well worth it!

Funny story, the model arrived early with a slightly banged up box, but the model is okay. The shipping company for some reason never recorded that it was delivered and Amazon is now encouraging me to reach out to the seller to get a refund. Yeah-no, I'm not into scamming people.The model did not arrive with the magazine, but I generally just store them anyway, but still minus 1 star (I'd do a half star if I could). The model it's self is great! Very detailed, no mistakes that I can see. Better get it before they run out!

The model is very well done and arrived in good condition. The Eaglemoss box was dented and torn in front upon opening the shipping box. The model itself is great but about half the size of the original XL NX-01 model on my shelf. I thought that it would be the same size with the addition of the secondary hull. It looks odd on the shelf being smaller than the original.

Really liked this model. Scale was a bit smaller than the other XL models, but, well detailed. A very nice transition piece from NX Enterprise to TOS Enterprise.

This was my first Eaglemoss and I am delighted. I have already purchase the Discovery series Enterprise. Beautifully detailed.5/01/2019I now have the Discovery Entreprise and could not be happier!
