Do these need resistors if used to isolate 3 battery's in a 36v configuration?

Your question is not clear. you can connect (3) twelve volt batteries in series (~ 36Vdc) and no resistors nor diodes are required. I am not sure what your are wanting to isolate. You should be adding a fuse because the current capacity in a battery could be significant.
