2XZG1 Steel Folding Gate, Opening 3-4Ft

I own a small office building with a spiral stair case in the back. I used this on the stair case to restrict users from getting to the roof. So far, it's done the trick. I'm not sure how it will last over the next few years, but it was thousands less than hiring a vendor to do it!

Works great.Problem is that it will pinch and even cut a finger if not very careful when opening it.

I made the mistake and ordered it from opening on the opposite side. But with some tweaking I was able to get it to fit appropriately. I was wanting something to help add a little extra security to keep vandels out of my barn. The only problem I have with it is the two angle irons on each end that hold the scissor gate are held on with nuts and bolts. So if a thief was determined enough they could bring som pliers and a socket set and remove the three nuts on each side. Figure I would fix that with a little jb weld to make sure they never move.

The accordion grate is very strong. The most difficult part of the installation is drilling a hole for the bottom part of the grate where it pivots. Installation took about an half hour. I highly recommend this gate.

I may need to have this professionally cut shorter, but expect it to do the job indoors, keeping my counter surfing dogs out of the kitchen!

Nice action easy to install. BEWARE this model has integrated post of caliber iron at head and foot of pivot end. I lucked out and could install it using that feature but did not order it knowing it had that feature and at first pondered how to saw them off.

I think anyone would be happy with this gate. Built well yet not too heavy. I think its a good buy.
