These are the best of many "ice grabbers" that I've tried
Here in northern New England, we've been getting more ice and less snow than in decades past. After 60 years of age, falls loose their humor. After 70, we're talking life-changing risk by just walking to your car over a little patch of ice. I have tried the highly advertised slip-ons with little metal bumps on the bottoms. With the first brand, the rubber broke after two wearings. On the next brand, I was very lucky to be close enough to my car to grab the handle on my way down. Threw then out. Then, the UPS or FedEx guy bounds across the ice in my driveway with two big packages. I asked him how did he manage to stay upright. He pointed at these crampons. I ordered a pair from Amazon that day, and they have been great. Just remember to walk flat-footed on ice. In other words, not heel-toe. On snow, any way is fine.

Just what I needed
Trip to Bryce Canyon National Park in early March.I’ve winter hiked before and never used traction devices. But it was suggested for the hike, so I got them. I was very happy with that decision. They were fantastic. Gave me confidence to hike slippery icy snowy trails near steep hills and drop offs. Easy to take on and off. The spikes are inconvenient on rocks and concrete, so plan a way to carry (carabiner) on trails with a lot of each.I only used these for about 12 miles total hiking, so I can’t speak to how long they’ll last.Note that my hiking partner had the yaktrax … no spikes just chains … and was also happy.

Great for casual hikes.
Work very well for hike with crusted or ice covered snow. Fit nicely over Keene tarjhee size 10 for large size. Easy to put on. Haven't used below 15 degrees but stretches easily down to 15. Will not slip off with tight fit and Velcro strap. For price I highly recommend.

Fits true, well built
It fit true to size for me. I have Columbia high ankle hiking boots that I put these over and it is easy to get on and off even with cold fingers. Built so that the chains fit snug and do not move around. Walked about 6 miles in them so far in varying snow / ice conditions and no issues so far. Very easy to clean. My only complaint was they do leave marks on my shoes where the metal on the toe are leave dents.

Great fit and traction on size 10 trail runners
Much cheaper than the better known brands, this actually fits my size 10 trail runners better than another much better known brand in which my shoe size was in between spike sizes, resulting in buying the larger size that ended in the back half of the spike set riding up the back of the shoe heel during vigorous snow hiking. I only used this off brand once in snow and it worked well, but I cannot attest to long term usage. It also comes with an extra strap to tighten it on the shoe - it is 'hidden' at the bottom of the package, so look for it as it doesn't come preattached to the main product.

Worked Better than Expected!
I bought a pair (Large) of these for my size 8.5 walking shoes, a pair (XL) for my husband’s size 11 walking shoes. Mine fit perfectly; his were a little snug but worked. We hiked in Colorado 9 miles through snow and ice up to over 11,000ft elevation and experienced five incredible mountain lakes, all without slipping even once! We are so impressed! Bravo for this well-made, low-cost product!

Great for hardpack snow
If you are walking on hardpack snow or muddy conditions, these work great. DONT wear them on ice/hard surfaces (or at least be very careful) as long as there is some give about the depth of the spike, they'll work fantastically

Great micro spikes
We purchased these for a trip to Colorado in early May. We ended up hiking a total of 25-30 miles using these spikes and they held up great. These made walking on compacted snow and ice a breeze. They are just as good as options selling for double the price.
