Better than the non-electric ones !
I had 2 accidents with the non-electric cheap whistles , one being on a MC . both vehicles had 4 of the cheap whistles . Now I have these Hornet whistles on 3 cars + 3 motorcycles . The deer now just stop in their tracks & just look at you drive by , some start to slowly walk back into the woods as they keep watching you . Which is better than before ! I have the chrome version on 2 of the MCs . I have them all on switches with indicator green lights .

Works for me
I put this on my Harley and wasn't sure if this was doing anything other than make noise. Had it for over a year and then I was in the mountains of California and a deer was just about to jump out in front of me and he stopped, and darted back away from the road. Since then on my travels through Colorado, California, and Oregon I have seen deer come right up to the road until I am there then the go the other direction. Saved my butt several times so far.

Makes me feel better that I have this on my car
Easy to install seems loud enough I don’t know if it really helps with the deer but it makes me feel better

Needed for motorcycles
Actually haven't had to use this yet, it is in the process of being installed on my 2000 HD FatBoy. But the person who recommended this item lives and breathes by it and that's good enough for me. Seeing more of these type of things on all kinds of bikes, cannot be unprepared with deer.

Stopped working after a month
When it did work, it didn't seem to scare any of the deer away, but the deer did take notice to the sound.They would still just stand in the road, and look, then slowly go about their way.

Great product. You need this!
I added this product to my car, and my wife's car - after havibg used one on my motorcycle for 10 years and seeing deer flee before i get to them. Most away from the road, others do cross the road, but do so sooner rather than right in front of me. I reccomend it.

If more than one rider has a unit only the leader should have theirs on.
We have used these on our motorcycles since 2008 and find when mounted properly the only animals that ignore the sounds are buffalo. I've personally seen deer raise their heads and move away from the road a half mile in front of me.
