Please use some common sense. Don't fall for the "Classic User Error: 1D-10-T"
We've all been there and done that, and sometimes we forget to have common sense and use our brains for critical thinking. The level of difficulty in getting this project right is Novice Level, and the best advice is Free Advice. So here's a little advice for some potential customers that are concerned about installation: 1) Do NOT do this project by yourself or you will be spending a lot of time going from end-to-end pulling the string and pushing the LED lights through the silicon diffuser. HAVE SOMEONE PULL SLOWLY, WHILE THE OTHER PERSON ON THE OTHER END TAKES OUT THE KINKS SLOWLY. 2) I would highly recommend using Air Duct Foil when trying to tape the string to your LEDs lights 3) LAY OUT THE ENTIRE PRODUCT ON A FLAT SURFACE TO MAKE A STRAIGHT LINE. If you follow these 3 simple steps, it should only take about 5 minutes. I had my oldest brother who is a Computer Programmer, but has no coordination at all whatsoever help me out and the string never snapped. Good luck out there for those Future Potential Customers

Decent diffuser for non-straight surfaces
I mostly purchased this product because I am trying to find the ideal solution for putting up RGB LED strips and the traditional aluminum rail with plastic diffuser always seems to have hotspots unless you get strips at a density of 120led/m (twice what you'll find in the highest density RGB strip kits). I'd say this at least does a great job for its size and cost, and maybe the 16 by 16 version (which only projects in one direction) is probably better at reducing hot spots. Pictured I am using this white LED strip: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TTP3YTP/ It definitely looks fantastic in the picture, but unfortunately you can still see the individual LEDs for the most part. Still effective at diffusing the light for this particular use case, but was hoping for something more. As mentioned, the larger version on the listing for the 16 by 16 profile silicone channel might achieve a spotless strip, but the 12 by 12 only somewhat does it. Kind of wish there was a version of the 16x16 that has the diffuser in the same format as the 12x12. Now comes the bad: The string is absolutely worthless. The channel for the strip itself barely fits an LED strip, so there is almost no way to fit both it and a string tied around it through a channel of silicone; a substance not known for its slippery properties. I did as another reviewer did and slit the bottom and managed to get the strip in that way. Although it makes me wish it already had a slit and a tool to push the strip in correctly without having to hold the split open while shoving it all in inch by inch. The typical plastic bit that covers the adhesive strip on the back of the LED strip makes it even more difficult when it catches on the silicone as well. Either way, poor execution on part of the manufacturer. Either don't make the strip so narrow in the first place, allowing for enough width, or develop a better way to installing an LED strip and skip the string. I'd rather pull on that string and have it cut a clean slit down the bottom. Overall I'd say I'm pleased with my purchase since it technically work as advertised for the most part. 4/5 because the methods for installing a strip need improvement, and doesn't quite achieve spotless LED in person. Also, about as expensive as competing aluminum rail diffusers, except the 16x16 version is a LOT more expensive. I'd consider this costly overall without much benefit.

Not Practical - Do Not Recommend
The silicone channel is ridiculously difficult to string lights into; virtually impossible. The instructions are a little laughable; the 'tiny rope' included for pulling the light strip through would not pull in either direction, as if it was attached inside the silicone channel. Even with four people stretching the full length of the channel flat and straight the string would not pull through. We ended up jury-rigging an old drain snake with a thin flat metal band to push through the tube; once the light strip was attached to that we worked slow and careful to pull it back through. (And yes, we're using a 10mm strip as specified compatible by the silicone tube.) It got stuck about halfway through, then our metal strip detached from the lights. Alright, okay, we'll pull the lights out and start over, right? Wrong. That silicone channel is not letting go of the lights at any cost (and yet NOW the included string is suddenly mobile, which is useless with the lights stuck halfway through. In serious danger of breaking the light strip, we decided to cut our losses and slice the channel open - except once the first exacto-blade cut was attempted the whole thing just pulled apart, the translucent panel pulling right off the opaque backing channel. Honestly, it would have made more sense to send the thing in those two pieces, design them to snap together, and then the whole issue of inserting the light strip in the sleeve would be eliminated. But unless you're going to douse your light strip in like, baby powder or something, you're probably not going to get it inserted let alone pulled through. Even if your 'tiny rope' does work as specified. The silicone channel is rendered useless by the impossibility of threading a light strip into it. Product is not recommended.

Good quality LED strip
This is a really good looking LED strip encased in a neat silicone rubber square tube which allows light to be emitted from 3 sides. It appears high quality and waterproof, which is what I was looking for. Nice warm white color as advertised. I had a slight problem with an earlier order from this seller and their customer service was great- they responded promptly to fix the trouble. I would order from them again.

Impossible to feed lights through, especially those with joints in. Very tight fit. Ended up ruining the lights in the process

I did not get what I ordered. I am supposed to get a silicone tube for led and what I get instead is a roll of transparent film. Last time I order here.

On the pricier side but I needed a defuser for my LED lights that was bendable and could work in a small space. Happy with the results!
