Great product and excellent value! Up until it failed.
I seriously questioned buying a "refurbished" computer. Decided on what I wanted, configured it as I desired, and ordered it. It arrived as scheduled, well packed, and ready to run. The outside looks new! This thing is lightning fast and was easy to configure to my personal needs. I'm running Windows 10 Pro. I use a 24" DELL monitor, HP wireless keyboard, and Logitech wireless mouse, and a wired ETHERNET connection. I would highly recommend this product and especially the company that provided the refurbished product. A 10 in my book! Bob, K4TAX The original unit worked from 11/11/22 until 01/15/25. Worked flawlessly. Sat down at the desk and noticed it was off. Pressed the power button, no response. Pressed the reset button on the back and the fans came up to high speed, green LED in power supply came on. Released the reset button, fans stopped, green LED in power supply went off. No other response. Disconnected all cables and tried again. No response so I figured a PS failure. Ordered a new PS. Installed same. Computer still dead, same response as earlier. It worked flawless for 2 years and 2 months. Ordered another computer. Hopefully it will last longer. I will be contacting the company that refurbished the original unit and see if they have any remediation. Bob, K4TAX

Great Deal as a Zoneminder Server
I recently purchased a used, reconditioned Dell Optiplex 9020 Small Form Factor Desktop with Intel Core i7-4770 from Amazon. The reconditioning took place in a plant in Canada. I am very pleased with the performance of this computer and the ease of setup. I chose this system from Amazon after comparing it with other refurbishers because of Prime shipping. I had been running Zoneminder on a Raspberry Pi 4 to process the video from 4 cameras and store the footage on a 6 TB external Hard drive. That system struggled and I finally decided to upgrade. The newest Raspberry Pi seemed expensive, so I decided to look at used Intel boxes. I found this system on Amazon for less than the cost of a Pi and with a free keyboard and mouse. Seemed a great bargain. When the system arrived, it had Windows 10 Pro installed. I did not want to destroy that. I was able to shrink the partition on the 1 TB hard drive and install Debian as a dual boot operating system. The process was made easier by the fact that the drive came formatted using the GUID partition table (GPT). I installed Grub to manage the boot process, which was a breeze after I figured out that I needed to change the BIOS boot process from Legacy mode. I was able to connect the same external hard drive that I had used with the Pi to one of the USB 3 ports and it mounted without fuss under Debian. The system comes with both HDMI and Display Port video but sans cables. I had a spare Display Port on my monitor, so I bought a cable (one-day delivery) from Amazon, and I was up and running. After initial configuration I mostly log into the system with Putty, so I hardly use the monitor. But I did want sound capability. I purchased a cheap USB speaker, and it works great. My total investment was still less than the Pi and it runs circles around it. Rather than use the USB mouse that came with my purchase, I used the built-in Bluetooth to connect my Logitech MX master. Once again, no problems whatsoever, one less cable to mess with. I am using both the WiFi card, built-in and the 1GB ethernet port. The drivers for Debian installed by default for both. I didn’t have to hunt for anything, plug-and-play! I love the size of this thing. You can see it in my picture beside my full-size desktop system. The external Hard Drive (purchased separately) is sitting on top of it. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable computer that is easy to install Debian Unix on.

Amazon Refurb Products Are Not Worth It!!!
I bought this product last summer for a summer nonprofit gig. It worked perfectly for 45 days, then the season was over. I took the unit and locked it away safely for the year. This summer, when I reconnected it and booted up, I got a 'Your PC Needs Repair--Please Contact Seller or Manufacturer'. The unit did let me run diagnostics, which said nothing was wrong. I rebooted, and tried several things, with no success. I reported it to Amazon and the seller, who first said the warranty was up. But I pointed out that I had not used it for a full year, only 45 days. I requested that they just send me a new one, but the seller continues to try to get me to going through an OS restore; however, since I didn't receive any OS disks with the unit, I am supposed to follow a complicated set of instructions that I was sent that contained broken links, use another computer to create a thumb drive, etc. I am computer literate but I don't have the time required to go through all that. Amazon, Dell and the seller need to step up and just send me another unit. The units are supposed to be guaranteed, and the cost on their end vs. bad word of mouth. I also just bought a refrub monitor from Amazon and the speakers don't work, but that's another story..

Aside from the 1 TB SSD failure, I still recommend this as a good value computer purchase.
I purchased the Dell Optiplex 9020 Small Form Factor Desktop: Intel Core i7-4770 up to 3.9GHz, HD Graphics 4600 4K Support, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, DisplayPort, HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth - Windows 10 Pro (Renewed) back on NOV. 28, 2022 and it is still running today 02/03/2026. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is as seems to be a common problem with these refurbs, the 1 TB SSD failed on my unit as well. Luckily I had an old 500 GB HDD lying around unused. So I installed it and swapped to running Linux Lubuntu (a lightweight version of the Ubuntu Linux distro) as the OS since I figured dealing with MS over Windows 10 Pro licensing would have been an exercise in futility w/ original storage drive fried, and at any rate, the machine again runs like a charm. I've had no other problems with it since the storage drive failure and am now considering upgrading it to maximum gaming capabilities since its been so reliable. The SSD card used was of low quality and not a brand I recognized. So they are going cheap on those with these rebuilds, but I still think its a good value for the price, considering the overall specs and computing power you get for a machine that costs less than $300. You'll be hard pressed to find comparable ones in this same price range anywhere.
