Requires a lot of strength to open
Used to attach combination storm windows to house. There was no sill to rest against, so used 2 clamps (one on each side of flashing) with 1x3 strapping to support window while attaching to house.Someone had complained about the strength needed to open-well, they are spring loaded. There are other types of clamps(ratcheting) that do not require this amount of force.This clamp worked well because I had less than 1 inch clearance with flashing. Yet, it was strong enough to hold the storm window. Also, It did not mark or bend the flashing.

Very Strong Spring Clamps
I LOVE these spring clamps. The spring is very strong.They are fantastic and exactly what I wanted for my little woodworking and other DIY projects.As some people have complained they are a bit on the hard side to open. You have to have good grip strength. These clamps are tough to open and I LOVE them because of that.

Crazy
I have bought them before they were in black last year, I could easily put over my tarps to hold them to 2x4s this time so so hard to try to open its ridiculous, my husband can barely even squeeze them open. I have even sprayed them with sprays on the spring but does no good, need to be iron man to open them
