Works better than higher priced competitors
We have 6 of these, and they all work great. They keep the temperature consistent much better than higher priced competitors we have purchased from local shops.

works great once adjusted
Ok to start the shipping was fast and it works great as far as shutting off at the temp you set it on and back on when it goes 1 degree under .That said there is about a 3 to 3.5 degree difference in the probe on this and the probe on my thermometer hydrometer , so i set this to shut off 3 degrees cooler then i wanted it to be in the tank and walah . everythings all good. so my tank reads between 90 and 90.5 this reads the 87 i set it to shut off at and turns off, as soon as this reads 1 degrees cooler it comes back on , thus keeping my ball python at the hot end temps of 85 to 90 F and never over 91 :) me and snake both happy .

Great Starter Thermostat
I purchased this for temporary use while I'm waiting for my new dimming thermostat which got delayed.I would recommend this if you don't have the immediate funds for a pulse proportional and/or dimming thermostat. If you do not know what that is and you are a reptile owner....I implore you to please research and save for one. This is a very basic on/off thermostat....one temp setting, with no bells and whistles (yeah, that means no alarm either). That being said, it's accuracy is spot on...temps match all my thermometers within .3 degrees. As for the range and when it goes on/off....when set to 86 degrees, for example, it will turn off once it hits the temp. When the temp in the terrarium lowers 1.1 degree below your setting it will turn back on.Now, understand...that once it turns off, the temp may continue to go up .1 to .5 degrees (depending on your heat source). Which works on the opposite end as well, once the temp goes 1.1 degree below your setting, it will turn on but the temp may continue to drop slightly before warming back up. Again, this is all dependent on your heat source as well as the temperatures in your home. So you may want to test different temps in order to achieve a desired result.Again, this is good if you're starting out or if you're in a pinch like I was...but I wouldn't rely on this long-term for your reptiles.

Zilla Digital Temp Controller
Amazing, with every penny. Glad I came across it, the way it controls the temp of the lights and the mat is being amazing as well. Bet satisfied with this product....

Favorite thermostat
Amazing thermostat for the price! I have 4 of them and they all work beautifully for my snakes. It keeps the temperature of my heat tape within 1 degree of the setting.Amazon is by far the best place to buy this thermostat (my local pet shop sells the exact same one for $90!)Can’t even get it for this price at Expos.Highly recommend

No more worries, but a bit bulky
I stress so much over my snake's temperature so this puts me at ease, I can give her a higher watt bulb knowing she'll be warm enough but not overheat. I have it affixed to my wall and the cords are long to be accommodating, but the system and wires all looks very bulky. Nothing bad on the product itself.

Don't buy this!!!
This is not a digital temperature controller like they said. I literally had to turn around and buy one from petsmart. This was a huge waste of money! Scam and a half!
