Q: So has the issue of cable length been resolved? According to the Chiagoo website the small kit should contain three different cable lengths.

I have not ordered this kit, but I encourage you to read the descriptions carefully. The complete set and the 5" small kits say they have 3 different cable lengths, but the 4" small kit only appears to include 2 8" cables.

Q: Does the small set come with places to add the larger needle sizes?

The case inside has divisions for the needles, division has a sewn in label for a particular size (3, 4, 5 etc). The small set has needles places for size 3 through 8 on one side and on the other side for 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13, 15. While there are two extra spaces on the smaller needle side that are listed as “CG”. This is a useful case and I keep my small needles all together when not in use!

Q: Does Chiagoo have an interchangeable needle set with US size 1 and a 32 inch cable?

They do have a size 1 interchangeable needle tip. There are a number of cable lengths available. If you need a 32" specifically, you could link together 2 16" cables with a coupler.
