👅 Taste the Science of Genetics!
Precision Laboratories PTC Paper Taste Test Strips are designed for educational purposes, allowing users to explore the genetic basis of taste sensitivity. Each vial contains 100 strips, each measuring 6mm x 48mm and infused with a safe 30 micrograms of phenylthiocarbamide (PTC), which is only detectable by 7 out of 10 people. Perfect for classrooms or family gatherings, these strips make genetics engaging and interactive.

Works
I am not a teacher, to start this off. I got these as a fun thing to do with family and friends. I am a supertaster, and I can ASSURE YOU that they work and are accurate. Very simple and easy to understand. Cheap for how many strips there are per container!

Good for confirmation :(
The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately I'm not a supertaster :(Good to know for sure though. Now I just have to find another explanation for my weirdly sensitive tastbuds...P.S.Pardon the background noise, I love vines.

Taster and Non-taster
My husband and I tried the strips. He could not taste anything but paper. To me, the strip tasted more like alcohol than bitter. Don't know what that means. Definitely had a lingering taste, but not terrible. Had to rinse my mouth a couple of times to get rid of it. The only negative is that there are no instructions that come with it. I had to find a website that said not to eat or drink before using it.

Work great!
Worked great, I have ordered these for the past couple of years when teaching genetics in my middle school science room. I have never had any issues with these.

Very fun amd informative
Used these for our troops Senses Investigative Work. The troops loved it. There were 100 strips, so I also took them to work and had my coworkers try them. We had a great laugh at the Supertasters faces. Many said it tastes like BC Asprin. I wouldn't know, for I am not a Supertaster.

Does it work?
I haven't found a single person that says it tastes bitter. Maybe no one I know has the gene.... or this is a genius ploy to sell tiny pieces of paper.... either way, just buy it. If it doesn't work, at least your helping someone make there millions.
