When i was first considering opening my own unicorn petting zoo, this was the single most informative book i read. From basics about feed and care, to the complexities of establishing a profitable business model, every angle is covered.I was, however, troubled by the anti-union bias. My unicorns were recruited from the pristine waterfalls and scenic beaches of the notoriously liberal Pacific Northwest, and unionizing was a sine qua non. Had i made the slightest move to obstruct the formation of their labor union, they would have simply left my petting zoo in the dark of night, covered by their own magicks. But by being pro-union and collaborating with them to set bylaws that benefited both the unicorns and the petting zoo, we established a collaborative relationship that has led to both the zoo and the 'corns utterly thriving.So, as i said about, an invaluable resource. However, don't be afraid to let the individual quirks of your situation guide your progress.

I bought this for my best friend, who also happens to be a unicorn. At first, the title confused her- "Why did you buy me a parenting book?" she seemed to neigh. "I'm not planning on having little rainbows anytime soon."However, upon opening the book and reading its contents, she couldn't stop nickering about how much she loved it. She found it to be both entertaining and enlightening.I was concerned that she would be horrified by the idea of unicorn farming, but she explained to me that it's the perfect solution for the thousands of unicorns that would otherwise have dismal ends because of ongoing loss of habitat. After this positive experience, I'm definitely keeping this book in mind for the next time I have to attend a unicorn birthday party.Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go shopping for an old college buddy who also happens to be a mermaid.

When my grandfather died a few months ago, he left me his unicorn farm. I remember playing in meadows of sunshine and daises with the unicorns when I was a young girl, but I never paid attention to anything about the business aspect of it.The most my grandfather ever got to teach me was how to brush them. (It's not as easy as you'd think).This book was a life saver- literally!I can now say that only 6 weeks after reading this book, I have brought the farm around and am already seeing profits! I got his book for my 11 year old for her birthday because she loves unicorns. It was her favorite birthday present. The reading level was a little high for her, but she worked her way through it and learned some new vocabulary. She spent several weeks planning out her unicorn farm. The book is earmarked and highlighted and she has produced several charts and graphs. It taught her a lot about business in a fun way. The book is very well written and has a lot of great information.

I have a large spread, so I naturally wanted to maximize the return on my investment. Horses, alpacas, llamas, chinchillas ... I just could not earn enough money to break even after all the costs. Using the simple steps provided by Jessica Marquis, I can proudly write that I've earned enough profit from the venture to pay for the book after only 16 months. And if sales growth continues at the current pace, and assuming He-Who-Must-Not-be-Named respects my postings this year, I should have enough save to purchase a sequel book on advanced Unicorn husbandry techniques.

I got this book in perfect condition. It was a gift for a 15 year old friend who loves unicorns, but I read a few pages before wrapping it up for her. It was so funny and smart! She loved the book and keeps it out where everyone can see it!

Someone has an amazing imagination! This is a very 'factual' book on how to farm Unicorns. Taking aside that Unicorns don't actually exist, it is well written, amusing and were it about keeping any other animal, innately sensible and a great read!

I Love Unicorns, ok I know they are not real.....or are they.....just in case Santa leaves one in my stable yard I will need to know how to look after it.......this book is invaluable ;D
