Kurt Halsey Frederiksen Works on Paper: Volume 1

I absolutely love this book, the artwork exceeded my expectations although I did think the pages were quite thin. Perfect if you love the illustrative work of Kurt Halsey or similar styles.

Grab a brew and have a flick through. Every illustration is amazing and a story is told throughout the images. Lovely :]

I have been a huge fan of Kurt Halsey's work for some time now and this book is a great collection of many of the pieces he created to capture what was clearly a happy time in his life. Even the pieces that are not reflective of his life still convey emotion. He is quite skilled at capturing the feelings a person typically experience during various situations/points in his/her life. His art is moving and relatable. In general, Works on Paper is a must have for any Kurt Halsey fan and makes for a great coffee table book that guests can take a look at and likely end up fans as well.

I also bought this volume for my daughter for Christmas. She is very pleased as am I. Beautifully illustrated as was the other volume I purchased.

I have been a fan of Kurt's work for a while now, to see my favourites all compiled into one book was such a great present to myself. I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves his work.
