Works well and the protection is clear and bright. The adjustable brightness and alignment provides lots of flexibility. I've had an older projection clock that has dimmed a bit over the years but was never bright enough to see in daylight. This clock allows for very bright or softer settings to suit an individual's taste. In addition, it includes temperature and humidity.Keep in mind that the time reception is limited depending on the circumstances. My son's clock was unable to receive the time signal from the floor but was able to receive it when placed on the headboard. The same limitation applies to my watch as the broadcast signal is of limited strength.

When I first plugged it in the clock it gave me the accurate humidity and temperature right off the bat. The projection is strong and large on my ceiling which I was concerned about. It found the time right away just had to set the time zone. I had the Oregon scientific until it quit projecting and was trying to find another one but this one is much better as far as I'm concerned and cheaper..I'm really enjoying it.

It is very easy to pick this up by the sides unintentionally modifying the direction of the display, setting the alarm and other unwanted effects. Button distribution could have been done better.The time projection is a lot bigger than our last clock and brighter. The brightness is under control and the display is quite large and sharp.The last clock lasted 15 years but slowly lost parts of the display on the clock, no longer project the outside temperature and finally stopped responding to any buttons.

Although the ceiling projection works OK, and once set, it's stable like any quartz clock, the primary features I purchased this clock for do not work:1. It failed to sync to radio control. It clearly makes an effort since when it does so it gives a very clear indication, but after days of operation, the sync has not been successful.2. The clock numerals are unreadable as I lay on the bed. This is because the display face has a narrow range of angles over which the clock numerals can be seen. And unfortunately the clock is configured with it face pointing at a small angle upward. This yields the numerals unreadable as I lay on the bed. To see the time, I must sit up, which is not what you want in a bedside clock.3. The face display is too bright in its dimmest setting. Although the face display brightness can be dimmed, it is still very bright in its dimmest setting. It's too bright to sleep by. I had to turn it completely off and just rely on the overhead projection. So if I am on my stomach in bed, I have to turn over to see the projection on the ceiling, rather than just look sideways at the clock itself. Not what I wanted.4. The user interface is counter intuitive, and some of the advertised features are so hidden I could never find them. For example, the ceiling projection brightness is supposed to be dimmable. I could only find an on-off switch for it.

Not bad, just not great. If you’re looking for a good replacement for an excellent replacement for your Sony Time Machine this is not it. Mediocre performance and poor quality. The only upside is the price.

Great clock. I have had several ceiling display atomic clocks and this is by far the best. It is easy to set up and the ceiling display is easy to focus and read. The clock display has a good low dim setting and can also be turned off completely with a simple touch of a button on the top. The ceiling display is just a little bright and it would be nice to have dimness settings on the ceiling display. However, it is not objectionable and overall the clock is well worth it. I would definitely recommend and buy it again.

I was looking for an atomic clock, and I own several of them. The others works fine in terms of capturing radio signals, but this one doesn't seem to self-adjusting time at all. Other than that, this seems to be an average clock, with decent projection clarity. But overall disappointed by the lack of the single most important feature for me.

Works great, and is perfect for my end use of just using it as a projection clock in my bedroom - I’ll never use the alarm feature so can’t comment on that. The only thing that was somewhat painful was the setup, in that one really needs to map out what one wants beforehand before embarking on such - if you spend too much time trying to figure out what you want while setup is in progress, then it will self-reset back to normal operation.
