Purchased this far my father that has been in hospital for a length of time. He has been real figitive, restless legs, like he was becoming more anxious or uneasy. I did not want to get one to heavy because he had become weaker as his length of stay continued. When I placed it over his legs he became still and then he asked if I would pull it up around his shoulders, it really does feel like you are being hugged and has a since of security calming effect. The only thing about this size is that its a childs size because it is not long enough for an adult, would of purchased a longer one if I had of know he was going get so much comforting from this blanket.

Stop beating your Restless Legs when your Rolepinerol/Requip seems to not be as effect, this works!
I love the kids weighted blanket, it is 7 pounds 41" x 60" from Amazon.com. As soon as I notice my legs n feet start moving then I grab my weighted blanket, then almost immediately it settles down. Lately the medication is no longer effective.

Best investment for my 7 year old
This was exactly what my son needed to get the best rest possible! He LOVES this blanket... seriously... He has been sleeping with it every night and says it helps him fall asleep fast. I have been debating this for sometime now because I didn't know if it would help him or not and I honestly didn't want to spend the money on something that he would hate, but now I am wishing I would have made the purchase way sooner! My 5 year old daughter loves his, so I will more than likely be investing in one for her also! If you are considering one, JUST GET IT.....
