Avoid
I almost forgot to write this review but remembered because of how much I hate them. I only got these because the ones I normally get raised in price. Needless to say I should have just bought what I knew worked. These aren’t 1/2 even tho they say 1/2 I am lucky because I have soft 1/2 tubing that will stretch with a lot of force. The hard1/2 tubing I can not see working with these so be warned. The locking mechanism 9/10 times actually pushed my hose off. I’m not new to valves or irrigation tubing so this isn’t a fluke. The other valves are a nightmare to remove these are a nightmare to get on and to stay on. I also have straight lines coming into them and the ones that are slightly curved come off the easiest. The valves are nice and easier to close then the other ones but I fear that will lead to leaks over time. These are passive and have no psi under them either so I would be cautious if using for an actual watering system under pressure. Again , the struggle to get the tubing on and to stay on was the worse experience so far with irrigation valves.

Pop off under pressure
The amount of space, between the flair and the housing is too small. When you tighten the screw it does not have any hose to squeeze and it pops off under pressure. The 90 degree elbow and the "end of the line" fitting have about 1/4" of space between the flair and the housing and these work fine since the screw has plenty of hose to squeeze against the flair.

A lot of valve for the money
I bought these valves because of the low price and assumed the quality would be a bit low. I was wrong. These are top-notch valves. I'm using them in a 25 psi system. They installed easily and operate smoothly.

Excellent Product
This is a terrific price for a very high-quality product. It is easy to install and makes for a very tight, secure fit with no leakage. I compare this to a competitive product (initials R. B.). The shut-off valve came off when I was away and thousands of gallons of water came onto the property. A large water bill followed. Turns out the seller supplied the wrong dimensioned product. BEWARE.

doesn't work with Mr. Soaker Hose
These seemed like a nifty idea to secure the end of my soaker hoses. I buy mine in a bulk roll, so need to find a way to close the end of each line. These did not work with the Mr. Soaker Hoses that I use. These hoses are a bit more substantial than the last hoses I had, so these end caps don't work. I can get the hose over the barbed end of the cap, but when I try to screw down the green sleeve, the hose is too thick and the sleeve pushes the hose off of the barbed end. These might work well with thinner, less substantial soaker hoses.

1/2” shut off
Outstanding simple and extreme efficient. No leaks and the fasteners were just an extra fail safe in my case. Can’t go wrong A+

Easy to use
If you've ever tried to use compression fittings on your drip irrigation system you'll appreciate these fittings. My garden changes every year and my drip system needs to change with it. These are easy on/easy off and the twist tighteners mean they don't leak or pop off unexpectedly. LOVE these. Buying more.

Self Destruct Below Freezing
26F made several of the fittings explode into pieces. I bought the variety pack- the valves (one pictured) blew apart so forcefully, I never found the green knob part. The other pictured, raggedly shattered fitting was an elbow.Frankly, grey acrylic barb fittings and sturdy hose clamps are the only connectors I’ve found that survive freezing and high heat- as does the black irrigation hose.
