USB-C cable provided a high level of power transfer but had to be reconnected occasionally
This cable was purchased to connect my GoPro Hero5 directly to my external battery to provide extended power while hiking in the Grand Canyon. This solution worked fairly well for the most part. I had to reconnect the cable a few times to get the power connection established. I might have had to do this 1x / day so it wasn't super inconvenient. I had no issues transferring video and pictures from my GoPro to my computer with this cable. It worked pretty well as an all around USB-C to USB-C cable for data and power transfer.

Works perfectly connecting together my late 2016 model 15" MacBook Pro and LG 4K monitor.
I had to do a bit of research to get the correct usb-c to usb-c cable that would both transfer data at USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds (10Gbps), support a 4K DisplayPort signal at 60Hz and power my late 2016 model 15" MacBook Pro. This cable fits that requirement nicely paired with my LG 4K monitor which has one of those handy usb-c connectors. Not sure if this cable supports Thunderbolt 3 (no mention of it) but I don't need it so what it is works for me.

Works great with MacBook Pro 15" 2017
No problem with the new (mid-2017) MacBook Pro 15" running at 3.1 Gen 1 speed (5Gb/s) whilst also delivering 58W (2.6A) to the system running at 100% doing video transcoding (Handbrake). Don't have any Gen 2 (10Gb/s) devices to test at that speed. Pleased with the construction of the cable, thick and has a braided sheath around it. The connector head is fairly long, so I use a USB-C right-angle adapter with it.

These work well with Samsung Galaxy S8 phone and Samsung Galaxy Book PC
These cables work as described and meet the USB Type C 3.1 Gen 2 standard. I am using them with my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone and Samsung Galaxy Book PC.

Poor
Advertises USB3 Gen2 data speeds, but in reality it can transfer data only at USB2.0 speed. Conducted many tests, consistently with this result. Other cables used with same otherwise equipment work fine.
