Mixed ending...
It's a good read, and it does focus on the team, including their breakup. But at the end of it I am left puzzled, because there is no second issue to keep the FF storyline going. The only thing we have left on the last page is "Next - Reconstruction" like what the heck is that?

Not Essential to the Civil War storyline...
Not really a bad book if your a big fan of the FF, but other reviewers have listed this book as essential to the civil war storyline. I strongly disagree. The only thing that happens in this collection that isn't mentioned in the core civil war book is the part about the thing leaving the country, which is completely unnecessary and campy compared what it should have been. So if your a FF fan then I guess you could pick it up, but if you looking for more out of civil war than here's not the place.

Not very much Civil War
First part is pretty good. Brings some humanity to the civil war story. The rest has very little to do with that storyline and parts of this are pure filler. Disappointing.

In my top 4 Civil War tie-in's
OK - let me start by saying I read some bad reviews of this book and my friends advised I steer clear of this one because it doesn't really add anything to the Civil War story. I bought the book, I disagree with the reviews I have read.I mostly recommend this book to you if you (like me) enjoy the family dynamic of the team because the book captures this dynamic well with good dialogue and strong characterisation. The story shows how the civil war affects the relationship between Sue and Read, and helps to shine a light on Reads choices from the core book. The writing is good and is well paced, the art is good too.

Grimm Tales.
The best that can be said for this collection of Civil War plot lines is Ben Grimm in France, it is the most coherant and best art work of the FF collection.Other than that it fails to address glaring plot holes and bad art work.Reed Richards an ardant supporter of Tony Stark's plans goes on and on about heroes being held accountable for their actions, and yet after the Mad Thinker causes someones death all he really cares about is getting his math checked. There is a 45th anniversery tale at the end, which could of been replaced by something worthwhile. As i have said only The Thing in Paris makes this two stars otherwise unless you are a completist then give this a miss.

Timely delivery
As a Marvel fan this book did not disappoint, the FF4's experience of the Civil War added yet another layer to the saga showing not only were the super hero community split by registration but so were the public. A good read that I couldn't fault.
