The scale is compact and works well for measuring small amounts for cooking and baking. It reads quickly and the tare function makes it easy to zero out containers. The different unit options are a nice feature if you need them. It is very sensitive, which is good for accuracy, but even small movements on the surface can cause the numbers to jump a little. You just need to make sure it is on a stable surface while using it.

A perfect addition to my crochet making. Works to 100th of a gram which works perfectly for weighing yarn or small amounts of floral wire. The included batteries and little tray are a nice addition to get started right away and to keep everything contained while weighing. In the first week, this little gem works perfectly and is exactly as described.

Pros: - Small and lightweight - Accurate - Comes with a cover for the sensitive weight plate - Comes with a plate to measure items on - standard AAA batteries so you can use rechargeable ones Cons: - Only 500g max weight - the batteries they come with are cheap and don't last very long - looks different than in most of those pictures I diet often in which cause I count calories and measure all my food using food scales. I'm also very anal about my coffee as I use a french press and I like to get the ratio of water to coffee grind perfect so I was looking for a scale with .01 gram accuracy. I own other food scales with 1gram accuracy but they don't do well when measuring lighter things like chia seeds or coffee grind or anything that's very light. Even if you want just 2 grams of something, i noticed those other scales just don't work as well as i want. I end up putting more of the item before the scale moves at all. This is why i like/needed this scale. Its very sensitive so the number moves even as I add a little bit of my food item. Coffee grind is light but the scale catches every drop of it so i feel satisfied with every measurement. The one big downside of this scale though is that it only measures up to 500g. This is why you still need to pair this scale with a scale that measures a higher capacity. It's very small so its easy to store away along side my 1g precision scale. It comes with cheap AAA batteries and I like the fact that at least it uses AAA batteries since I have a lot of rechargeable ones at home. All in all, this is a pretty good scale for the price. If you feel other scales don't work well taking smaller measurements of lighter items, try this guy.

Absolutely amazing scale for the price and ease of use. I greatly prefer it to my $250 espresso scale as I am able to weigh my spouted portafilter for Barista Pro and not with the costly scale. Even if it does not last long 1-2 years or so for the price it is very hard to beat. I think it rather amazing that this scale is reproducible at .01g and yet the $250 one is unusable because of such wild fluxuations. I just tested and 50 gm said 50.00 4x and 100 said 100.00 and 200 said 199.97-200.00 .. Scale is not water resistant so I always use the plastic cover as a weighing platform.

Edit: The review I wrote before still stands. This scale and other iterations with different brand names are very accurate. This one lasted a couple years. But somehow water got in last night and it is now dead. Having success with this model has led me to buy a replacement (4/28/24). One tip (that I didn't heed this time) was to cover the buttons and read-out with scotch tape. The tape makes it a bit harder to read, but the tape will prohibit water from getting into the circuitry and killing the machine. I don't remember if I mentioned it below, but in addition to measuring coffee beans I use it to measure output from my espresso machine. Another way to protect the circuitry is to use one of the plastic covers, but inverted. This helps prevent water from getting near the buttons and read-out. I primarily use them for accurately measuring out coffee beans that go into a grinder. Important for me? 0.01g delineation. 0.1 grams isn't what I want or need. Downside? Only 500g maximum weight that it can measure. I have a separate scale for those heavier things. What to look out for. Other than weight parameters, look at the configurations. Most are the same, with different brand stamping, some cheaper than others. Some delivered a bit quicker with some sort of minor discount attached. But for the most part, they have been identical. When dealing around water of any kind, put a piece of tape over the buttons and display to keep the water out. When I got lazy with this it wasn't very long before the scales would crap out. My last scale that I had over 2 years just did that. Shop Amazon for price on the identical but differently branded scales. You might save 30% or more just by looking around. Look at dimensions of the scales so that you know that what you buy will work in the space you're working in. These scales are cheap, not fancy. I don't recommend them for fine jewerly work. You will want something more precisely calibrated and durable. But for what I use this scale for, it works. Hopefully I'll get another couple years out of this replacement.

Good quality, accurate for typical home use. Not a lab or science grade device, but small and accurate enough for easy kitchen measuring. The clear trays are good quality too and easy to clean.

One of the batteries included had a pretty sizable dent in it. Obviously didn't use it. This thing is dinky and way smaller than I was expecting, but I suppose that's my fault for tossing it in my cart on a whim without checking. Weights are accurate, functions straightforwardly. Wanted a food scale with more precise numbers than my current and this provides that... for smaller items. Not getting a slice of light bread to fit on this, short of trying to stuff it in a glass.

Been using it for a few months and put it to the test against coins (you can research the weight of a coin) a few times and its passed these tests every time. Previous balance from a different seller started being off after 2 months of use. This one seems to last.
