All-Day Hydration Without Constant Refills
Using the Bubba Classic Insulated Mug (52 oz) feels less like using a regular cup and more like having a full-day hydration setup in your hand. It’s built for people who don’t want to keep getting up to refill. Massive Capacity That Actually Matters The standout feature is obvious—52 ounces. That’s enough for a full day of water, iced coffee, or whatever you’re drinking without constant refills. It’s especially useful at a desk, job site, or outdoors where convenience matters. Keeps Drinks Cold for Hours The double-wall foam insulation does a solid job keeping drinks cold throughout the day. Cold beverages can stay chilled for up to ~12 hours, while hot drinks stay warm for a shorter period (around a few hours) . It clearly leans more toward cold drink performance—which honestly is where it shines. Built for Everyday Use (Not Fragile) This mug feels durable and practical: Thick construction that resists drops Ergonomic handle with good grip No condensation (no sweaty cup rings on your desk) It’s the kind of thing you can toss in your truck, bring outside, or keep on a workbench without worrying. Classic Design with a Bonus Feature The keg-style shape isn’t just for looks—it’s easy to hold and stable. Some versions even include a built-in bottle opener in the handle, which is a surprisingly useful touch . Where It Works Best I’ve found this type of mug is perfect for: Desk setups (no refilling every hour) Outdoor work or yard time Road trips or long days out Keeping water or cold drinks on hand all day Bottom Line If you want maximum capacity, durability, and cold retention, this is a great pick. It’s not about portability or sleek design—it’s about having a big, reliable mug that just keeps you going all day.

Well-Insulated, With a Tightly-Fastening Top. Great for a wide range of needs - Tough and Reliable.
This is an excellent, and high-quality line of insulated mugs. The "Bubba" line seems to incorporate several styles and models of quality, also hardy drinking mugs and cups. I own several, and love them all. These were introduced to me by the merest of chances, Mr. H. located these for me as a result of issues experienced after a rather severe injury, and surgery. These mugs were excellent for someone recovering from surgery, with long-term bed-rest looming in front of one. I was stuck in bed, needed to get as many liquids down me as possible after the surgery, but was pretty much chained to the bed, unless a helper was close by. I was having issues with knocking my drinking glasses over, and drenching my bed,me and the carpets. Mr. H., the best of the best, drove all over to find something that would hold a larger amount of liquid, be easy to drink from, but have some form of protection from spillage.. His luck was good, he found a nice selection of all types of mugs at a local store. Thus, the entrance of the first "Bubba" mug into my household. It was absolutely perfect for my needs, it was well-insulated, had a very large, and easy to grasp handle. But, best of all - it had a tightly closing lid. It is cute to view, and I chuckled when he appeared with it. He filled it with ice, and the fruit juice recommended by my surgeon, and I was ready to go. This comes with a lovely, thick, and extremely pliable non-disposable straw, The handle was large and thick, not at all slippery, and easy for my hands to grip in their weakened state. The lid is tough to remove, just letting it fall is probably not going to cause a disaster on your floor, or in your bed clothes. There is a cute little rectangular lid on top, this also closes very securely, with a satisfying click. My first cup was smaller than 32 ounces, then we purchased a 32oz. size, and later a 52 oz. mug. This will be my second 52 ounce mug. These are superb for the hot, humid, and miserable summer weather that we are enduring. Fill it with ice, and your drink of choice, if will be awhile before you need a refill. As this is to be my fourth "Bubba" mug, my opinions on the matter are pretty clear. They are well-insulated, the top remains tightly in place, one can insert a straw through the opening, or use without a straw, taking care to close the top firmly after use. The insulation in the 32 oz., and 52 oz. is superior, holding liquids at a cool temperature for a long time, even on quite warm days. It has a lovely large handle, molded to the shape of ones grip. This eases usage for those with impaired hand use, whatever the reason. This is a quality item, my first mug is still in perfect condition. I have only needed to purchase a small bag of the special straws, after my straw had an unfortunate encounter with my puppy (Hint : The puppy won.). After I recovered, I continued to use this mug, and purchased an extra for Mr. H. He now wants the 52 oz. size, thus this order. Wash this by hand in hot water, and all will be well, I doubt that a dishwasher would be a wise choice. I have suffered no problems whatsoever with liquids leaking into the insulated section of the mug. The top grips tightly to the top of the mug, this is a quality item, and I recommend it highly. These are available in quite a few fun colors, as well as being available in slightly less well-insulated models. Whichever you choose, these perform their job well, and are a gift for those needing a bit of help with consuming liquids without spillage, or when someone wishes to fill their mug only once a day or so. I can find no faults with this mug. I had never heard of the mug brand, indeed had never seen one until Mr. H. found that first mug. It was a happy day, now I have even more selection on Amazon. All is well within the world of "Bubba" cupdom.

Huge Cup
I love these Bubba Mugs - my husband uses this one for his iced tea. It is nice and heavy and fits in all of our vehicle cup holders. The ice keeps well and the drink stays cold all day.

Great mug, a bit leaky though
I love this giant mug, use it every day for my coffee. Insulation is insanely good, I can have it sat off the side for an hour and my coffee is still hot. My only issue is that it seems there is some type of issue with the lid, as this item seems to leak a bit. I'm not too happy about it, as I seem to never not get a bit of coffee on me. It's NOT Leak proof as this ideas thing below me is now suggesting to me so hopefully I'm making that clear. But other than that issue, it's my ideal mug in every way, size, weight and function!

This thing is PHENOMENAL!
FIRST IMPRESSION: This is HUGE, and I love it! GENERAL COMMENTS: When full, it's pretty heavy, but it's just what I need. I always put a little ice in there and it keeps my drinks REALLY cold for the few hours that I use it. I'm a fast drinker, so I don't know how well it works for longer periods of time. It also seems exceptionally well-made. LID POSITION: Until I figured out exactly how to place the lid, it kept screwing on in an off-center position for me. Yikes! With some patience, I was finally able to get it seated properly, and on the way discovered that it's a dual-handed mug! DUAL-HANDED: Interestingly, this is made to be used left-handed or right-handed, which is terrific. Making the switch is really easy. Here's how. The lid takes a 180-degree turn to lock it into place. If you are other handed, just place the lid to point the opening in the opposite direction of where you want it and turn it 180-degees. Bingo! LID REMOVAL (easy): I also found that it's easier to remove the lid than many reviews indicate. It's actually a great setup for people like me with smaller or arthritic hands. Here's the trick. When you put the lid on, twist it just tight enough so it doesn't leak. If you twist it super tight, it may be hard, if not impossible, for you to get off. Having twisted it just tight enough, when you're ready to remove the lid, open up the top sipper stopper piece and push it all the way back so it locks into place on the other side. Using the side edge of that locked in piece, fairly gently (not too hard!) push and/or pull sideways on it. Note # 1 :: I'm pretty sure that's what the sipper stopper piece was designed for and why it's so solid. This technique should work for anybody who's even giving it a regular twist on, IF they fully lock the piece in place before trying it and/or push/pull so hard on it that the piece immediately or eventually cracks and breaks off. Note # 2 :: Because I'm not twisting the lid on tighter that simply to get it not to leak, the sipping/straw hole locates slightly off center, but only by a very little bit, maybe 1 or 2 degrees. STRAW: Speaking of straws, the sipping hole is too small to fit the larger straws that came with my other Bubba mugs. If I hadn't happened to have a few thinner hard-plastic straws on hand that were long enough, I would have ordered thinner ones from amazon or gotten the soft silicone straws that would conform to the weird shape of the sipping/straw hole.

MOVE ON TO A BETTER ONE.
DON'T BUY THIS ONE. I have had Bubbas in the past and they worked well to keep my water cold, but this one didn't keep my water cold for even 10 hours. I filled this Bubba to 3/4 full of ice then added more water (around 9:30 pm), but when I woke up around 2 am the water was warm. I know in the past, the Bubba kept ice for 12 hours and my drinks stayed cold. I liked the price on this one. Maybe that's why they are marked down.

Great Mug, but inadequate vent
I just got this mug today and like most everything about it. Pros- Large enough to fill with ice and poor hot coffee in it to make Ice coffee without any overflow- Seems well made and durable- Well insulated and keeps things cold for a good amount of time (haven't tried hot, but common sense tells me it would keep it hot as well)- Cons- My biggest complaint is the venting system is inadequate for the mug. Which means the beverage trickles out at a slower rate than I am use to drinking. If you have ever poured gas from a gas can without taking the cover off of the vent in the back of the can, you know what I mean. I suppose if you drilled a small hole in the cover you could remedy the problem. I am considering that option myself, but am concerned I would damage the cover. To be honest it's not a huge problem, it's not like nothing comes out, you just need to drink a bit longer. However the vent is the reason why I dropped 1 star. - I have a keurig K-cup coffee maker and the mug doesn't fit under the coffee dispenser (not even with the bottom plate removed) Not a big deal, I just made it in a smaller mug and poured it into this one over ice. As far as the complaints that it is top heavy, that goes without saying. Anytime you have something with a narrower base and wider top it is going to be top heavy. However I don't see it being a problem. I filled the mug with ice coffee and set it on the table near my recliner and then gave the table a good shake. The mug didn't tip in the slightest. I don't have any concerns about it flipping over while driving. Unless of course you like to take corners like a Nascar driver. For everyday normal driving I don't see a problem. Although the narrower base allows it to fit into a cars cup holder, because of the width up top I can't imagine a second beverage would fit in the cup holder with it (meaning the dual side by side type holders) although in all fairness I have yet to try it. All in all the pro's out way the cons and I would recommend this mug, as long as you don't mind keeping it tipped a bit longer to quench your thirst (due to the vent).

Mug of legends!!
I used to have a mug to quench my thirst that was with me for a very long time. It was in essence my beer buddy cause it was a pint mug (well actually a little over a pint. Don’t tell my wife ^_^). Unfortunately all things come to an end and it wasn’t any different here. I dropped my mug and our entire history shattered. Many years later I see this mug. Thermal insulated and somewhat unbreakable!! Match made in heaven!! Allelujiah!! No more solo sessions henceforth. Woohoo! Liquids stay warm or cool for extended periods. Handle makes quick consumption easy. There’s even a bottle opener inbuilt…. What the?? Where’s the secret microphone to call James Bond?? Ok jokes aside. It does its job and it does it well. I’m a happy chap after buying it. Works well for normal fluids and for weekend hydration fluids. Enjoy!!
