The book is quite good for the beginner, but it's outdated and only contains information about old engines. As i was looking for engine data, such as valve clearance for newer models, this book is not what I need.

I keep this book on the shelf in my shed to refer back to as a reference when needed. I've had this manual for a while now and it's full of my little penciled notes and grease stains. This book has paid for itself very quickly. The Briggs and Stratton chapters are the ones I use the most and they are well written and accurate. It's nice to have a real, physical book when wrenching on something and not have to fumble around with a phone screen. Thanks Haynes.
