I purchased this for my Mom after she broke her pelvis. Getting her in and out of the tub at 93 was hard...after the broken pelvis, it was impossible because she is not allowed to bear weight on one leg for two months! We looked at several options. Hoyer lift would not fit in the bathroom, shower chair or bench was not optimal because she really loves her baths and we have a significant amount of wood around the tub which has now been compromised by water. A walk in bath is not an option because of price and remodel....on a septic system here in the country also. A local group loans equipment for people with medical needs. Our OT brought a bath lift made by another company. The battery wouldn't hold a charge long enough to let her get in and out. We couldn't find a replacement for it ($135 but not in stock anywhere)! Then I found the Maidesite lift on Amazon. I ordered it and it arrived in two days! It is perfect! Sturdy construction, lowers and raises easily. The price is so reasonable! Very easy to use, the suction cups hold it firmly to the tub.So much safer than the previous attempts to get her bathed! I put Mom in the tub the first night it arrived and she went to sleep with a smile on her face for the first time in weeks! She is happy, and so am I. My orthopedic surgeon is thankful that I am no longer trying to lift her out of the tub! I have shown this unit to several friends who need something like this for a parent! Bought the chair for my better half who spent 10 months in the hospital. As she can't in or out of the bathtub taking showers was the only option and she loves and misses her baths. This chair allows her to do that. It's durable, very comfortable, easy to operate and works as advertised. We are very very happy.

So, after my 85 year old dad fell for the third time, I looked for something to help lift him. My mom and I are unable to dead-lift him. I went searching for help. So many other lifts are either too big to store or too expensive. This one was within my price range so I gave it a shot. I hadn't used it until last night, when he fell again. He was sitting on the floor unable too get up when I brought this product over to him. He was able to slide onto it's seat and held on. I pressed the up button and he was slowly lifted up to chair height. I put a standard chair next to him and he slide over onto it with no issues. Although I didn't like that he fell.......I was so grateful to have this lift. One time we had to call a non-emergency rescue service to lift him up, so this is wonderful. We have never used it in a bathtub so I have no idea if it works well in that case.But, I am just so happy to finally have an easy solution to get him back on his feet again. Worth every dollar I paid out.

Loved chair till it collapsed on me was trapped in tub until help came. We never figured out why it did this because it started working again however I could never trust it. Wouldn’t sell or give to anyone because I didn’t want it to happen to someone else ended up in alley. Broke my heart but lucky I didn’t break something.

So far this electric chair has been a game changer. It isn't as heavy as I thought it would be. It is easy-to-use, and hopefully it will be durable and last.

I am on dialysis, which has caused overall general weakness in the legs (or sudden drops of my BP). I've been stuck taking showers since my diagnosis and beginning dialysis in 2012. I missed baths. There's nothing more relaxing than a good long soak. With pain in one leg, I really needed to safely take baths again, but couldn't afford to replace my tub with a walk-in. This is a great solution that is far less expensive. I can now safely lower myself in the water without risking falling in a seat that goes up and down; and safely raise myself up and safely stand from a higher seated position where I can reach my grab bar easily to steady myself to step out of the tub. Thank you to whomever invented the chair!

We love this, it's very easy to setup, install and use. My 95 year old mother thinks it's great. She is very happy to be able to have a real bath without help. She had been using a common bath stool and hand shower.
