I actually knew this wasn't leather when I bought it, but I've just noticed the description says "leather" - THEY ARE NOT MAD FROM LEATHER, they are made from 1.5 inch nylon webbing.They work well enough; I've had a fair jiggle with them on and some effort is required to rip them open, but it can be done and I suspect that the wearer will tend to rip their way out of these restraints accidentally in the throes of passion - it's also pretty trivial to undo the cuffs yourself while wearing them.The main reason I've given a low score is the cuff size though; both myself and my other half can only overlap the ankle velcro closure by about 2-3cm while wearing them; this contribute s to the ease at which you can escape, but as both myself and my other half are quite small adults and we could do with an extra 5cm of webbing per cuff for a more secure fit I find it unlikely that average or larger adults would be able to use these restraints at all.While on they are comfortable enough - at least the velcro is positioned so that it doesn't feel scratchy against the skin, and provided that neither of us gets too carried away I think my other half and myself will be able to make good use of them, but if you're looking at these I hope this review tells you what you need to know.
