I have looked to buy these bags at Simplehuman and Bed, Bath, and Beyond and ordering these every few months through Subscribe and Save are the best price. They are still a bit pricey for something you will be throwing away, but they don't rip or tear and feel thicker and sturdier, and only once or twice did the bag puncture from something sharp.The H size is smaller than the standard kitchen garbage bag (13 gallon) vs H size (8 - 9.2 gallon), so it does not hold as much but it also lighter and less bulkier to take outside. I have tried to use a traditional kitchen garbage bag in my Simplehuman can. While it works fine, when I pull it out, there is a lot of extra unused space in the bag, so I lean it against the counter and try to fill it more and avoid it tipping over. Sometimes, I need one had to open the bag to throw egg shells or whatever inside or whatever I threw inside slides out onto the floor.Hence, this pack on Amazon is worth it.

Yeah, I get it -- you spring for a simplehuman trash bin and want at least to save on the expendable trash liners, right? That's what I thought. Wrong. These are sturdy. And leakproof!! There's the difference. Wet trash stays INSIDE the bag, even when you scoop it out of the bin, tie it up (tightly, please!) and schlep it down to garage or trash room. No wet marks on the floor where the tied bag rested momentarily until you picked it up to remove it. Even no overwhelming smells (and believe me, I've tested this). The first set of these bags was so remarkable that we've been buying them (and, admittedly, paying extra for them) ever since. No contest. These really are the bags you want if you ever have wet, smelly trash. They even work on non-simplehuman trash bins of similar size. I even take some fresh ones along in luggage to package well-used items such as outdoor shoes or still-wet bathing suits for a stain-free return trip for the rest of my belongings. These are really worth it.
